Luis Diaz (LW) Barcelona

How much is Olmo willing to pay?

Yeah this is entirely Barca led.

Tell them to fuck off and pay 85m at least. They haven’t a pot to piss in.

Oh and his dad can piss off.

Always has been, noise has come from them, a little bit in Colombia, and a lot from his dad. He ain’t said anything himself, not have ours. That said if they want him and stump up the initial 80 odd mil I wouldn’t say no

New price is whatever Dani Olmo cost plus €1.

We hold the cards here. Diaz has two years left on his deal. He is a very good player. If we keep him, good!

We can look at the situation again next year, by which time he will be within sight of 30, and the Saudis will still be there with money to burn.

Barcelona can pay up, or do one.

Feels like Barcelona are trying it on. They know our price for Diaz, and they’re attempting to lowball it, and/or hoping for him to force the issue.

I think he won’t accept staying here without agreeing a new contract with us, with an increase in wages. Probably want nothing less than a 4-year deal. Either that or go elsewhere. His stock possibly raised with this season + the fact he proved he can be a central option for a winning team. So I think this summer is decision time, new contract here or sold.

I really don’t understand why Barcelona need Diaz. But hey , it’s their money.

Raphinha extended his contract yesterday. Both would be competing for the same spot. That’s how you know Lucho is going nowhere.

Take the money and run. His production fell off a cliff and Gakpo is a better all-around player. Or risk Lucho running his contract down and get nothing.

Replace him with that kid from PSG who absolutely ran us ragged on their left.

Joined in the previous window. There’s no chance he’s leaving anytime soon.

Just checking Barcelona’s squad to see if there are any players that we could do with.

Gavi and Pedri seem rather injury prone but Fermin Lopez plus 60 for Diaz isn’t a bad deal.

Its not, thats the problem. They expect everything at a discount and then still cant afford it.

A little lost here as Lucho was the one dragging us over the line at the end of the season when results mattered and Mo suddenly lost his finishing ability

Win win for us, if he stays we keep a good player on a low wage and if they stump up it has to be on our terms

They want to be able to rotate the forwards more, or at least that’s the reasoning being provided

Replace him with one of the best players in the world. Simples :man_shrugging:t2:
