Luis Diaz (LW) Barcelona

We hold all the cards here.

A good offer comes in from Barce, we can accept and Diaz gets his Spanish move.

He is on 55k per week - way lower than he could get at any club right now. So we could easily just (horror of horrors for some) let him see out his contract and get the best two peak years out of him before letting him go on a Bosman.

It’s very unlikely he is only on £55k a week.

I thought that the £55k a week had been discredited?

He would be silly to go there and even sillier to try and force the issue.

Its just utter bollocks. I know you never really know what is going on behind closed doors or at home with a player, but its pretty apparent that he loves it here, and does so due to the things you get as a Liverpool player that you don’t get at other clubs and certainly not in a fake league like Saudi.

Like I can see him going to Barca at some point but this is bollocks

I’d never be certain of saying Saudi interest is bollocks. Barca sure because they have the reputation but not the cash to make it happen. But those Saudi teams have the money to turn almost anyone’s head.

He’s represented by the same agency as Fernandes who is also a rumoured target for them. And we all know how some of these agencies like to move players round to the benefit of their bank balance rather than the player and their career.

He could go in two or three years and still make the same amount of money.

But he’d be missing out on two or three years of higher wages.

Thing is if he actually dreams of Barca then tripping around in front of 200 bored blokes is not really something I’d suggest.

The league really hasn’t moved on much, it’s still a farmers league no one watches. It’s still a graveyard however much they spunk up.

And Fernandes will be back in 2 years in Europe, regardless of what they earn they are earning a lot anyhow.

Or he could do his ACL in August and never get the chance again.

There’s a difference between PL rich and Saudi league rich. His international teammate Jhon Duran is out there making £320k a week. Fernandes is rumoured to have been offered £700k a week, tax free!

That kind of money would be hard for anyone to turn down. Could well all just contract negotiation bollocks though.

But why would it be hard to turn down when you are already a multi millionaire?
How many yachts and sports cars does anyone need?

Duran could have been playing against PSG in the CL instead of against a bunch of knackered has beens in the desert.

Viega is returning to Europe after 2 seasons there. That sort of thing is not a good look for the league.

As many as possible.

I believe it’s called “aspirational”.

Soon they might mirror our Championship winning strike force Nunez, Diaz and in few more years Salah. They might be after Jota as well. Strikers are super expensive this season. Delap gone for 30 million. Sesko/Gykorez - guess Arsenal will get one.
