Would still rather he stay.

Been saying for a while, if he goes, it’s Gordon we will get (along with Ekitike).

If Bayern are okay with him being a priority signing, why aren’t we just giving him a new contract ?

How do you know that we haven’t offered him a new contract? Maybe he wants more from us than we’re offering and is therefore using outside pressure to try to make us increase our offer.

Maybe he wants a family ransom clause inserted and we’ve refused?

Would that be like a per goal thing if it’s for each individual family member or a trophy win bonus thing?

Players get disgruntled all the time over something are we selling them if they do.

I’d rather Rodrygo, who continues to be linked as his replacement.

This guys still salty over Wirtz…what even does that last part mean, he can sign a deal up to 2038 if he wishes, it means nothing if we don’t accept a deal.

So far we’ve basically straight up rejected so this little fairytale he has written sounds unbelievable.

He may well go but none of what he has written makes sense.

It’s a matter for Slot to discern. If it’s a relatively minor thing and the player can carry on fine on current terms, great! He’s a good player and he is at the peak of his powers.

If it’s more than that, there will be a decision to be made. I’m chilled. We are in a great position. We either keep a very good player, or we receive a sum to reinvest, as he moves on to maximize his earning potential.

I’m excited by what we are doing and I hope Diaz wants to be part of it all.

This would surely put paid to any chance of Diaz moving there.

How desperate are barca?

Suppose if Bayern do buy him they can enjoy his father flirting with Barca for the next 3 years.

Aren’t they currently having problems registering players due to financial issues so maybe loaning players in is a way to add squad depth. Wonder what percentage of the wages Utd will still be covering.

Not sure they were ever really in a position to bring Diaz in for the sort of figure we’d agree to sell at

Feels like Diaz will be sold to Bayern this season. He’s made it very clear that’s what he wants, and I don’t think we’d be well served keeping a player against his wishes, contract or no.

Gakpo would be promoted to main starter on the left, and we’d likely promote a Gordon or Danns and look to buy another decent forward option in the 40-50M range.

Feels like 65-70M for Diaz gets it done.

We only really know what the mouth pieces of these clubs think.

Can totally understand why the club wouldn’t want to offer an new deal but there is no pressure on us to sell and Bayern will have to cough up.

Hopefully we set a deadline so we can go back into the market if needed.

The pressure is coming from Diaz himself. It’s been made clear that he wants to leave by reliable journos at this point.
