Luis Suarez (Luis Alberto Suarez)

I remember the first time I saw Markovic I vomited in my mouth at the fact that we couldn’t afford an actual replacement for Luis because we spent 20 million on him, someone who looked utter shite, almost scared of the ball.

The phrase “sick in my mouth” (or variants thereof) always makes me chuckle.

Where else would one vomit? :man_shrugging:

Without wanting to derail the thread, but ‘sick in my mouth’ always makes me think the person has either tried to unsuccessfully stifle/block it, or it’s happened so quickly and unexpectedly you get a mouthful of it rather than instantly expelling it as you most commonly do when you vomit.

Whenever I’ve been sick I’ve always tried to make sure as little as possible actually makes contact with my mouth and tastebuds as it exits my throat.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, typing this has given me the urge to vomit so…

I think it’s perfectly on point in a discussion of us spending 20m on him before thinking about how to replace Luis

I was at one of his first games, the one v United when he gave Kuyt a hat trick on a plate. He was mezmerising

One of the best players to have worn the shirt.

Pity that he didn’t stay long enough to become a great.

Regardless of how long he stayed, he is one of the best football players ever to put on a Liverpool shirt.

However he will not come anywhere near as a Liverpool great even if his performances on field might warrant that. His public desire to leave Liverpool, making a mockery of our support for him throughout his “sagas”. While I am not those who are triggered by ex players celebrating scoring against their own club which he did celebrate in the tie in the CL but was more riled up by his dirty plays against Robertson causing the latter to come off injured.

Congrats to a great career and for being one of the best on the field ever seen but that’s all he is.

he’s still a nuthead

Am I the only one disappointed he didn’t just bite him?
Irrational maybe, but find spitting so much more disgusting.

yeah…spittings just a dog act…

dont know why, but its lower than biting…

There are very few sports people I really dislike but this guy with his whole history is certainly one… abnoxious individual.

He’s a proper weirdo. At least with his other flashes you could make an argument that it was done at the height of passion in an important competition. But this was a game in what is only a second tier tournament in a level of competition that is already far beneath him.

That’s probably the frustration. No doubt he knows his career is over and he’s playing through pain with a bunch of players who are way below his previous level.
Not making excuses for him, he’s always been a bit of a dick, and if he hadn’t played for us, we’d detest him. It’s hard for us to hate him though, having seen him in his pomp.

Can you separate the artist and the art?
Best player I’ve ever seen live

Spitting in someone’s face has got to be up there as one of the most despicable acts you can lay on someone else.
Using his high profile star quality thinking he can spit on a guy who is probably on minimum wage trying to do his job… If I had three wishes granted to me right now, first one would be wishing that poor guy had of knocked Suarez out on the spot with one punch for the world to see…
Disgusting rat… went off him the day he celebrated scoring against us in Barcelona
