How Klopp's 'no a***holes' transfer policy may affect Liverpool FC... Are...
Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has again been quoted saying a naughty word in the press.

I did mention Music.
The no dickheads rule is a myth. Klopp would have managed Suarez.
Jürgen, Bobby and Luis in a Colgate advert would’ve been fantastic.
‘Nine out of ten dentists recommend—’
‘Chiellini?!’
‘Har har! Well, no, actually…’
Oh there are reasons why a Suarez who was committed to Liverpool would have worked under Klopp.
For one , Suarez is massively unselfish as a player. One of the few guys who was as happy with a team mate scoring as it is when he was scoring.
But the dickhead nature of Suarez would have made Klopp get rid.
He sidelined Sakho pretty early in his career to make a point too. Klopp doesn’t suffer dickheads.
Robbo is a snide shithouse but he’s our snide shithouse
There’s a difference between that and being someone like Suarez.
Anyone defending this guy by now has lost the plot. That excuse about being different off the pitch is garbage as well, he’s simply using that as an excuse to let his inhibitions drop and have it passed off. In the same way alcohol reveals the person behind, this does so for him.
Grade A cunt. Fuck him
In a way , I’m really happy that Klopp didn’t have to contend with Suarez.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Robbo, but if you go look through pretty much any other PL club’s forums, they fucking hate him.
And I love that they hate him.
Every other club has someone which the opposing fanboys hate totally. But robbo is restricted to the match. Doesn’t drag on.
It’s not really an excuse. His wife has known him longer than we have, and his children know him better than we do, and they adore him.
Total different tangent. But Kim fucking Jong un is known to be a good husband and father.
Suarez biting was his way of putting in a transfer request. He bit someone when he was at Ajax. In fact, he gained the moniker, “Cannibal of Ajax”.
When we signed him, it was only months after the FSG takeover, so we were fortunate to be able to land a player of his quality. I remember reading an article just after Klopp took over which was referring to problem players that are talented. The journalist split them into problems that you want to get rid of (e.g. Balotelli) and ones that are worth the trouble (e.g. Suarez).
I’m not sure of the “no dickheads” policy is actually a thing, but Klopp did seem to vet players for their personality. I do wonder if Suarez would have passed that, regardless of his obvious talent.
That’s a fucking wild comparison.
I’m not sure of the “no dickheads” policy is actually a thing,
Ian Graham has confirmed it was indeed a thing
I was delighted when we got Suarez (for me, one of the best transfers we made) and I have little doubt that we would’ve went for him under Klopp, like we did in January 2011 (putting our needs of the time aside). But I also highly doubt that we would be able to change him as a person. Someone like Balotelli though, no, I don’t think we would either repeat that or do it in later years. It’s not even hard to see the big differences.
Graham said ‘arseholes’. Maybe it extended to ‘dickheads’.
It did not extend to ‘Bolsonaro supporters’.
It’s not really an excuse. His wife has known him longer than we have, and his children know him better than we do, and they adore him
That’s really no marker for how good someone is. I’m sure we all know good family people who are pretty horrendous outside their home.
Graham said ‘arseholes’.
I couldn’t find the original article but I did find this:
Speaking to The Red Bulletin, Klopp revealed that he “would never sign an arsehole just because he’s great at football”.

Family is highly subjective, the most subjective there is actually.
The thing is not so much the person deep inside, but it’s the incidents that happened (either on the pitch or within our building). Other than that, if he’s a good team mate and trainer (and according to his team mates, he was an absolute machine on daily basis), that’s what the club is mostly interested in. And it’s always a combination of factors.
All the rest is just… not important. Who do they vote for, what do they believe in, who they support. Try to implement all those filters (and it’s impossible) and you’d likely end up having no players.
