Why have our fans turned on him I wonder .:grin::grin:

Some fans.
Not all Liverpool supporters have turned on him.

I for one think he was a tremendous player for the club and was dissapointed we didn’t step in a bring him back from Barcelona.
Imagine him combined with any two of the current four.

Regarding his “attempts to injure” Liverpool players…not sure I agree he was being particularly nasty. It’s his way of playing…in your face and annoying.
I think his commitment to Gerrard and Liverpool is really underplayed.
Its not like we are all privy to the Arsenal attempts at a transfer?

Surely everyone playing for a team has a desire to win for themselves as well as the team?
I really don’t understand the point?
Is he different to Gerrard who obviously wanted to win a league for himself, as well as the team?

Lots of our ex players are still cheering us on and emotionally invested in Liverpool winning and would still help US achieve stuff if they had the ability to do so even if they themselves got nothing out of it. Even sometimes when they’ve moved to teams which have to play against us and they have to act professionally and try to help their new side win.

Suarez wanted Liverpool to win whilst he was here because he personally wanted to win things. He might say congratulations on social media when we win something but he goes beyond just a professional attempt to beat us in a specific game. If he’d got that move to Arsenal he’d have been just as committed to them winning as we were and after the switch not caring about us winning domestic titles just whether Arsenal did.

He dropped us like a bad habit when Barcelona came along. He is where he belongs in Spain, among the cheats, divers and other idiots.

Like he dropped Ajax for us and Barca for Atletico Madrid.

Fans of his clubs fall in love with him because of his commitment to win thinking it shows how much he cares about their club and how passionately he feels about their club succeeding.

He just simply wants to win for him. He’s extremely driven over it and will do anything to win and sometimes let his frustrations boil over into the point of trying to hurt an opponent or bite them.

But it’s all for him, for his achievement, he doesn’t care about the club its for. Just a “oh that’d be nice for them, well done” style reaction when they are competing or winning stuff after he’s left.

Compare it to the near obsessive attention to LFC, exultation at our victories and devastation at our losses that the likes of Gerrard, Garcia, Agger and Sturridge show its night and day.

We also knew who we were buying (mind you, I thought at the moment that it was one of the best deals we made in modern times). He was great for us by large, we knew before he came that there are certain incidents possible with him. He failed to block them. I see no need for drama.

Its probably a different debate, but what you are describing is the epitome of professionalism.
It might be a bit mercenary but when he played for Liverpool he was tremendous. He almost made Rodgers a league winner, and I wish some players (Origi) would show us half of his desire to win.

I’d describe Suarez as a lot of positive things but professional would not spring to mind. He’d break every rule in the book he could get away with to win. For me that’s not my definition of professional.

We disagree, but thats ok!

Poor guys who criticize Suarez for the ‚street fighter’ mentality on the pitch. Must have had a bad time when he was like that for us on the pitch.

Will never forget that moment.

It’s instances like these that makes me think Suarez is a really smart player and can read the game and the opponent’s moves very well. He is already planning 1-2 moves ahead of his opponent and each of his actions are calculated. We usually credit the likes of Alonso, Xavi for such intelligence, but you have to give it to Suarez for making countless opponents (especially defenders from Norwich!) look like fools.

Doesn’t get much minutes at Atletico anymore and is out of contract in the summer.

Will be interesting to see where he plays next season.

Don’t think he’ll come back to England.

He’s not been fit very much this year. I am positive if he is fit they find a way to use him against City.

Heard the rumour Stevie wants him at Villa next season

He really wants to rebuild the 2013-14 squad for his revenge doesn’t he?
