I think the point is fair, and City have made some good signings, but I’m buggered if I’m going to be magnanimous about that 
Mrs ROTW - bless her, not too interested in the footy but she occasionally tries to show a interest - would have made some good signings too, with an almost-unlimited budget that makes expensive mistakes irrelevant.
They are cheats, and their whole platform has been created on the back of cheating. So whatever they are now, or indeed have been for years, is not legitimate.
They have not been held to account. The authorities have tried, but it looks like it has been men against boys to me, as even with right on their side they have still not held Man City to account.
The threat of their Chairman appears to have come true, when he said if you come after us we will spend £50M on lawyers, or something like that.
Even in a post-Guardiola world, when many of us thought that accountability would come, they have been allowed to fill their boots and restock the pantry. Their former Chairman Bernstein just opined about how wrong that has all been.
I get the impression that a ‘punishment’ might come soon, but it will be so unsatisfactory that it will barely hurt them.

I’ve worked out a solution as this is only a PL penalty, award 3 penalty points for each offence so that’s 300.
Basically they yo-yo for about 4-5 seasons as you role the penalty on.

Found guilty. Officially cheats.
We play them in two weeks.
Hope Anfield calls them out with chants and banners so loud and big tv producers won’t be able to cut it out.

City’s statement (from the Guardian):
Via The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Manchester City have said this: “The Premier League process remains ongoing, with significant elements to be completed, and subject to strict confidentiality. As such Manchester City FC’s position remains consistent with the club’s statement of February 2023. The club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis the Premier League board and executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair minded regulator, free from partisan influence.”
