Anyway. The weather is nice here, where I am in Norway now. Cold but dry. Clear air but a bit of fog up there.
Just got back from work now. I am working in a different region of the country, so located close to Oslo now. I am about to cook a nice dinner now for my old uncle (really my mother’s uncle, but details). Not super sophisticated. Its going to be chicken with rice, a salad and I am going to attempt to make a bretagne sauce from scratch.

I want to. And I think I can. Bur it slightly depends on the old man and if he needs me. I am taking care of him, or trying when I am not at work. My girlfriend is also coming by train tonight. She has been here before and knows the way, but she may ask me to walk down to the train station and meet here. If so, I will.

But I want to. Then again, I am not in my own house and I must prioritise the needs of other people around me

I think in isolation I understood some of this, but I’d never put it together holistically to think about the entire squad and how difficult a situation they are in.

Some of us had spoken about confusion of allowing themselves to get into a situation players like Stone and Walker, clearly declining (declined?) players with growing physical unreliability, remain so important. But when you look at this list, are we seeing the effect of the charges? I’d imagine that 2027 group is as big as that as none of the players are interesting in committing further to a club with such uncertainty. Is their lack of turnover due to facing difficulty in the market because players want to keep them at arms length until they find out what is going to happen?

I loved this post because it highlighted a fact that I hadn’t been aware of but this…

Of the 2026, the only ones you look at think they should be trying to ink them to an extension are Silva and Ederson - and Silva turns 32 in 2026, so only maybe.

Love that. Friend of one of my boys is from Norway and his family are going back there over summer school holidays to go skiing and again in May to attend school for a month(!). I wish we could all be a little more Norwegian!
