How can you be punished more than being captain for them.

One good use for chat GPT , asked it to compose a song on city’s downfall… It’s only AI and on the tune of the Hobbit 's theme song.

(Verse 1)
In the land of Manchester’s pride
Where the Blues once thought they’d reside
A dynasty of oil and gold
But now their empire’s bound to grow old

(Chorus)
Far over the Etihad’s might
Where the money flowed like endless night
Their glory days are fading fast
As FFP charges come to forever last

(Verse 2)
Sheikh Mansour’s wealth, a treasure rare
But UEFA’s eyes, they saw beyond the snare
A web of deceit, a trail of shame
Their financial doping, an eternal stain

(Chorus)
Far over the Etihad’s might
Where the money flowed like endless night
Their glory days are fading fast
As FFP charges come to forever last

(Bridge)
Pep’s tactics, a symphony so fine
But the orchestra’s crumbling, the music’s losing its shine
The Citizens’ dreams, a fleeting thought
As their financial recklessness, is forever brought

(Verse 3)
One hundred thirty charges, a weight so grand
Their reputation tarnished, their future in demand
A lesson to all, of the dangers of excess
Manchester City’s downfall, a cautionary mess

(Chorus)
Far over the Etihad’s might
Where the money flowed like endless night
Their glory days are fading fast
As FFP charges come to forever last

(Outro)
In the land of Manchester’s pride
The Blues’ empire crumbles, their glory dies
A tale of hubris, a story so bold
Manchester City’s downfall, forever to be told.

Talk about looking forward to playing these again… February’s fixture :0)

February 23, but no kick-off time had been given. Now, City, the Premier League and Sky Sports have confirmed that the showdown will not be moved from the expected 4.30pm slot.

That means City’s schedule for February will see them travel to Arsenal on Sunday February 2 at 4.30pm, with a likely FA Cup fourth round tie the following weekend. If City qualify for the Champions League play-off round, which also seems their most likely chance of progression in Europe, they face the first leg on either February 11 or 12, and the Premier League visit of Newcastle will be on Saturday February 15 at 3pm.

The potential Champions League second leg will be on February 18 or 19, before the game against Liverpool - who look set to qualify automatically for the Champions League last-16 so are unlikely to be in action in the week prior to their trip to the Etihad.

I think the answer of whether or not Pep could resurrect/rebuild a sleeping giant has been definitively answered.

Yeah nah…

NBC commentator:
“A year ago today Jack Grealish was absolutely flying for Manchester City and playing as well as anyone”

Was he? I have absolutely no memory of him ever looking good for a sustained period at City.

Last season certainly not (last year, I can’t remember, he might have had a patch of form), but in their treble season he was very good for longer periods.

Yeah he needs to change our his Alice band. In fact the whole team need some follicle help. Forget about set piece coaching, they need a hair stylist. But the doper is far too insecure (luckily)

I’m really curious to see what Guardiola does from here.

Is he humble enough to do a Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund?

Does he manage to turn it around and be top again next season?

Does he cling until he’s fired if he doesn’t manage to get back to the top?
