The findings are due early spring by all accounts late March early April. The general consensus is what ever the outcome both parties are likely to appeal which could take upto another 8 months so its looking late December 25 early Jan 26 for that.

Not through any part you played though, Rasmus

Yeah that was ridiculous, enjoyed Keane calling him out. Should have been a double yellow, one for the initial foul, the second for the altercation.

He is such an attention seeker.

Iā€™m not good enough, please reassure me that I am the best manager that has ever lived.

On another note, if City donā€™t win this side of Xmas, what soup is he having for his Xmas dinner?? Do they do a turkey and trimmings flavour?

They should add another charge - For him being such a whiner

He will probably try and distract everyoneā€™s attention from his pathetic fall by running round a pub with his cock out.

Great thread :joy:

if the punishment is announced, but delayed, it affects them worse on the transfer front, therell be players winding thier contracts down and no one signing for themā€¦

at least if the punishment is served on day one, they have a fairly good roster of players locked in for a period of time ā€¦(subject to whatever implications a punishment might have on employment law etc etc)

He will then be in the hot soup.

Can there be a retrospective punishment in for that ? And isnā€™t he supposed to be the captain for the team.

This series of bad results is stunning. I havenā€™t followed the games, so canā€™t say whether itā€™s deserved or if itā€™s just one of these weird streak of games when bad luck and bad ref decisions are involved (a bit like Kloppā€™s Dortmund streak towards the end of his reign there, and we had one at some point too with him if I remember well).

Obviously, the longer it goes on, the likelier that there is something rotten within the squad, notwithstanding injury problems. Itā€™s not as if their ā€˜second stringā€™ isnā€™t usually world-class too, and as if they hadnā€™t one the most talented pool of young players in the country.

So, itā€™s truly stunning. Long may it continue! :star_struck: :+1:

I donā€™t think theyā€™ve had any bad referee decisions.

There are a few of them who have ā€˜done a Fabinhoā€™ but I think there is something else going on.

Itā€™s amazing this happened almost as soon as Guardiola signed his extension. I think there are a few players there who are just sick of him, and when he extended thought ā€˜For fucks sake, two more years of this fucking weirdo, bouncing around like a toddler and micromanaging every aspect of my lifeā€™

Charges for me. They know the shit that club has pulled and they strongly suspect whatā€™s coming. Why bother turning up?

They did not look good in winning the title last year. It was the reason many of us here were feeling positive about our run, as City simply did not look capable of picking up the points they way they did in our previous unsuccessful challenges for them. They pulled it off though, in unimpressive style, simply because they had a couple of players who scored goals out of nothing, and did it often enough that they picked up the points. In retrospect, maybe this was a harsh interpretation of them and those performances simply reflected how the team had consciously evolved. Maybe, but it did come with a lack of game control and suffocating pressure we have been used to seeing from them that makes the position seem a lot more precarious.

We then go into this year, and outside the first month of the season Halaand has done nothing and Foden has contributed even less. With Alvarez having been moved on they simply dont have any other goal scorers in the team. If you look at their stats from last season, the next highest scorer behind those 3 was Rodri, and behind him was Silva with 6. They have built a team that simply isnt going to score goals if the Nordic Yeti, (C) @Livy , doesnt score. That shows through this season. Their top scorers behind Halaand are two defenders and a DM, who among them have a paltry 7 goals.

A combination of factors, some that have been there even before the start of this season.

Some players becoming a bit older, some not great moves in the transfer market (all the way from Phillips to Nunes), some young new players who made a big jump to City from their previous clubs.

That side always has real quality between around the first 15 players or so, but they also liked danced on the edge of having a too short squad in some seasons.

Not a great pre-season, which certainly didnā€™t help someone like Foden. Quality is there, but so far he looked like trying to catch up in terms of fitness.

Plus the obvious, what they did in recent seasons, a lot of miles in those legs. No matter how professional you may be, sometimes a slight lack in motivation also happens.

Weā€™ll see what they can save from this season or how damaging it could be, but surely a number of changes will happen next summer.

And this league isnā€™t Spain where even having problems, the top 3 is almost always the same.
