Some say the Glazers have been doing that for 20 years

Nobody on a Liverpool forum, though.

I personally think nthey are doing a bang up jobs and should remain incharge for life

That probably helps City, given how shit he generally is as a footballer.

Every club should do their own version

Man City trolled over 115 FFP charges with special edition scarves highlighting alleged breaches to be dished out before Manchester derby at Old Trafford

I’m surprised he’s been able to keep the same pair for 8 years.

I thought the number of times Foden nicked them to go have a sniff of them in the corner, he would have lost at least 1 pair.

Seriously, what happened to the charges? Not that I expect big punishment but wasn’t it reported there will be a verdict in early 2025?

They said it was expected around Spring , so anytime now presumably.

They’re waiting so as to see how much they can dock city without them dropping out of the PL, but enough so they can say that a record points deduction was given, in a season when city weren’t going to win the league. So no real punishment other than they won’t be allowed in Europa league/European conference league next year.

Which ever way the result falls either party is going to appeal. Thats going to take 6 months before its heard i wouldn’t expect any final sanctions till the earliest early 2026.

Yeah it’s going to drag. Interesting to see if any of the evidence makes it into the public sphere though.

Keep the pressure on etc.

Which is why my hope is they finish 6th or below and dont have CL next year regardless of any sanctions.

Wouldn’t mind them playing in the conference league.

Any punishment they can buy their way out of won’t be enough.

The athletic did a piece about 6 months ago claiming that there was significant desire among the PL clubs to hit city not just with unprecedented charges, but with ones strategically structured to provide the most impaftful punishment commensurate with the degree of cheating they to establish themselves. No one went on the record, but it claimed to be extensively sourced. The consensus was any punishment should be split across multiple seasons otherwise you have a Juventus situation where they bounce back immediately. A 120 point penalty split across 4 seasons would not just keep them out of the CL for that entire period, but force on them a drastic reshaping of the personnel towards middling players without CL expectations.

The broad support across the clubs appears important because something that is often misunderstood is that the PL is in fact a self governing entity. The clubs in the top division ARE the PL and govern themselves. It is not some independent org forcing rules onto them. I think it is 14 of the 20 clubs required to pass a rule, and so if they have that level of broad support for unprecedented punishments it will make such a ruling much easier to stick.

Relegation to league 1 and a 5 year ban on promotion for them to the Championship should do fine.
