Manchester City* - 130 charges (and counting...) (Part 2)

Not sure about that, but UEFA rules limited the time they had to take action and the ban was overturned due to that time limit passing. That was why their European ban got thrown out.

The reason why the time limit expired was because City obfuscated the process. CAS recognised that and fined them for it. But then ruled that the greater charges couldn’t be brought because…erm…the time limit had expired.

Batshit stuff.

Both sides could choose 1 panel member each and then City were able to appoint the 3rd. Incredible they won the case really…

I cant understand how actions at the top of the game like this, fall out of time. Its 6 yrs on any contract based liability, so some of the older charges would have run past that. But you just enter into a ā€˜standstill agreement’ to stop time running for limitation purposes. This suggests lawyers acting for UEFA were negligent and missed that, which is what I find hard to believe.

Brown envelopes.

Al Mubarak as quoted in the email leaks

would rather spend £30 million on the 50 best lawyers to sue UEFA for 10 years than accept penalties

I think UEFA (through their Lawyers) believed that the statute of limitations would be overridden by the fact that City had been proven to evade scrutiny and drag out the investigation through their bad faith.

Well thats a recognised ground for extending limitation, so the Arbitrator must have denied it UEFA. Which implies UEFA were on actual notice of the expiry of the earlier alleged breaches, and didnt take appropriate steps promptly. As well, Id imagine Cteh have instructed the worst lowest of the low paper eating layers. So UEFA will be up against it, and as a public body, there are things their lawyers cant get away with which Gulfballs’ can. The biggest crooks turn up at court nowadays wearing dazzling whites.

Need an extrajudicial solution.

Talking about schedules and days off…

Man City have free weeks after their next two games and a journalist asked how many free days will Pep give to his players, as it might be the last free weeks until the end of the season.

Pep said that he’s giving his players off from after the game ends today until Wednesday afteernoon.

I can’t wait until Xabi takes the reigns at this shit stain of a club and wins nothing.
