With their goal difference advantage it always felt like we needed them to drop points in two games anyway, so a draw is more than fine. Do our business in Southampton - and thatās not a foregone conclusion, there will be changes, and we are dead tired - but get the three points and it is all set up for an amazing final day.
Hopefully Stevie will have Villa well fired up and they will give a good account of themselves.
All of a sudden, from being a real long shot, this is now doable. Man City still favorites as it is in their hands with only one game to go, but we have a chance. Just do the business against Southampton and letās see whatās what in the last day.

The nice thing about the way its coming down is it kind of takes GD out of the equation. The Southampton game has been simplified now to just a game in which we need 3 points, rather than a game in which we needed to claw back a big chunk of a GD disadvantage. That is added stress, both in terms of the selection and how the players go out to play, that is unproductive so now we just have to do our business in our last 2 games and hope Stevie get do something for us on Sunday. Watching to joy West Ham got out of the City backline Iād imagine Olli Watkins will be fancying his chances to get something.

With Cheaty likely to get all the help they need from referees and getting a full weeks rest while Villa have to play on Thursday(!), imagine if to even it up a little they faced an obstacle like Spurs did one season when they were chasing Arsenal for fourth and many got salmonella poisoning.
