Let’s imagine Parish pulls the plug to appease Glasner. Within a year Glasner moves on anyway, and Guehi leaves for free.
Lose-lose for the owner.
Might as well get the dough and if Glasner leaves, so be it. He’s going to do that anyway.

I can understand glasner taking the hardline if he had 3-4 years in the club.
