Konate pretty much misses the next two matches anyway and his pending punishments are gone.
We can play Jones in place of Szobo against Leicester.

Gakpo , yes. If he can be left out of this match , he should. We’ve got Jota there who can play the bulk of the minutes.
Nothing is worse than them(Gakpo ,Grav, Dom) getting ruled out of a game because the referees tend to make it a point to punish us for soft AF tackles.

4 days-3 days - 7 days is the pattern and Man Utd is number 19 when they are all rescinded I guess.
I don’t really understand the strategy of sitting someone out a game in order to prevent them from having to sit out a game… maybe the week before a big rivalry game but otherwise what’s the point ?

Thing it’s solely for us fans to think about.
I personally wouldn’t but we probably need a bit rotation between the two games.
Then again it’s not bad Xmas period it’s January that is currently crowded then again plenty of games we can rotate in that lot.

Yeah, there are some good opportunities for rest/rotation coming up. The remaining CL matches should see us rotate a fair bit, as well as the FA cup. Would love to keep getting plum draws there like United used to for years there.

But I never understood why they have to “kill” the tomato like that? Just put it on the plate as it is. Makes no sense, you kill the bit of taste it has and freshness.

Yes. And it was a great game - another (perhaps less dominant) one in a similar vein was the 5-1 vs Newcastle that had us top on Boxing day under Rafa - we should have won the title that season.
