Michael Car-wreck's at the wheel! It's the Manchester Untied thread

From the BEEB…the hard-hitting analysis is in full swing.

Steven, Glasgow: “One telling thing from Harry Maguire’s post-match interview is him calling his boss Michael. You wouldn’t have seen any players from the Fergie era calling him Alex.”

United relegated and City expelled from the Premier League in the same season? I’m allowed to dream.

Er…

When did they press and run before.

It’s what they’ve been doing for over a decade, we shouldn’t let them know.

What is brilliant is it sounds like like Wilcox is fully involved in the process.

I think he will stay now until the break.

As both Carrick and Solskjær started off so well, it rather points the finger at the players. Last season Carrick dragged a rag tag side into 3rd place.

Plus having picked up 25 points after taking over, Solskjær earned more points than any other manager has managed in his first nine games in charge of any club in the Premier League..

The blue half of Manc must be loving their red half getting all the attention right now, kind of take some of the heat off them.

Yeah it goes well beyond the manager.

Pundits appear to forget the fact that the Mancs were playing pretty much the minimum number of games last season; no European football, and out of the cups at the earliest stages. Basically a lower table team schedule, but with a higher wage bill.

Indeed, another thing that massively benefited Carrick last season and allowed them to take points off of teams that had to play 10-15 more matches than them. They literally played the fewest matches possible for a PL team - 40.

It’s kind of staggering that he still hasn’t been sacked yet. Would love to see the scenes when he’s in the dugout for their visit to Stamford Bridge at the weekend.

He never saw anything though when it came to his own side.

Yep, a hypocritical French git, as they say.

SOme of his Arsenal teams played lovely football, but he loved a moan. Felt sorry for him at the end of his tenure when a lack of investment in the playing squad made him look an arsehole, but by then the game had passed him by. Huge credit to Troopz, Mr. DT, and Don Robbie for getting him sacked though.

Ferguson left a declining squad.
They won the league but Taggart knew a rebuild was needed.
Assuming he had a big say in Moyes’ signing, he should have insisted Moyes kept some of the backroom staff.
He didn’t, and Moyes came in with his entire entourage.
Ferguson pretty much threw Gollum under the bus.
They were shoving shit up a drainpipe from day one.

May the glorious collapse continue onto the next chapter

I stumbled on some obscure you tube channel and it made the point if you take out Busby and Rednose out of the equation since the 2nd World war must United managers have been shite.
