No gorm, yeah?

Iâm with you on this one Peaches. Alice is delectable! She hates the fact that she secretly loves LFC. ![]()
get some help.
you too

Everyone does, really.
Have to say , I didnât see this one coming. Youâd have bet your house on him being sacked after the Bournemouth game , but no we go again , nothing has changed , in St.Michael we trust.
wtf are they thinking over there ? The decision had been made for them by the post - match theatrics and the crowd reaction. Theyâd already said their goodbyes ffs !

I think the discussion was almost certainly brought to a halt by the question âwho can we get?â. Bringing in another ex-player interim would be pointless, replacing Carrick with someone even less experienced. He is basically that now, he is no more âpermanentâ than when he took the interim job.
So, then the conversation is about either:
i) giving someone willing to say No what they want in order to say Yes - which is in many cases going to mean that many of the people in that very meeting wonât be at the club much longer themselves. Too many big names have been cycled through there and left defeated for it to be a dream job now. Call it the Conte scenario.
ii) giving it to someone ambitious and willing to ignore the obvious pitfalls for the money/prestige/possible career step. This would be the Amorim scenario, although at this point it would probably have to be someone from English football. However, if they screw it up, I think it is over for Wilcox et al., too many fans know his name now. Not a decision to jump into over a weekend, particularly some of the candidates in question (Howe?) may actually be proving to be closer to the first scenario.
The other reason I think this was probably a good decision, but definitely one where they had less choice than it appears is Bruno Fernandes. For Carrick to be shown the door immediately after refusing to be a door mat would absolutely hand over control to the dressing room. At a stroke, they would have made themselves appear even more toxic than they already do.
So does he pick Fernandes for Chelsea ? (I donât see how he can , but he probably will.)
Sporting Directors (or whatever their title is at their club) are often inextricably tied to the manager they hired. It requires really strong political skills to identify a target, hire him, watch him fail and then faire him and not have to take accountability for it. Its why its difficult to see Wilcox firing Carrick and himself getting to stay and retain the authority required to go through the process for a third time in 2 years having also been behind Amorim.
All my recommended Youtube videos on my feed are now various United commentators moaning about Carrick staying.
I may have been overdoing the schadenfreude in the past couple of daysâŚ
Decent decision. Show the players they cannot get a man sacked immediately. Have time to line up a replacement for after the international break.
The person it hurts is Carrick. In normal circumstances you would resign. But manager payoffs mean you cling on of course.
Tbf, I Iive in Manchester and work in hospitality. You see and hear a lot. All stuff from the grapevine via people who work these venues, however, can tell you it was no surprise to anyone that the only worthwhile season Shaw has had there was during COVID as the pubs were shut. Before that he was notorious for spending all his time on the piss in Deansgate. Rashford is awful for gambling; pisses loads of money up the wall. Grealish loves Mojos and is a menace at Baby Platinum. Danny Drinkwater once got shit kicked out of him in China White, and most of the other footballers who go there are scrotes. I forget which player it was, but a mate of mine worked there and saw it happen regularly, a Spurs player approx 10 years ago had a terrible habit of spitting on people. Could probably ask him which player it was, as whenever he comes up in conversation my mate wont hear a word about anything football related to him. Just says that the man was a cunt who used to spit on people. Bernado Silva is a notorious twat. Foden actually ainât too bad, recently helped pay for the funeral of someone in the industry whoâd died because he used to drink there. Milner was apparently very polite in the casinos, went once with Arnautovic and they spent the time talking about penalty taking technique. Hatton used to drink in my work occassionally, was always sad to see who he had become. Even sadder now knowing how it ended for him. Had Tyson Fury as well back in his wilder days off his nut on whatever. Very reasonable though, polite and listened when it was explained to him he probably didnât want other customers taking pictures of him in the state he was in and passing them on to the tabloids. He thanked us on the way out for looking out for him.
In a non sporting the context the biggest gurn Iâve seen on any human being ever was Dara OâBriain. Jaw was swinging from the Pennines to Liverpool Docks. Might just be because heâs got a big head. Incredibly polite though. I asked him about Stargazing.
We are going to have an intense match against Chelsea tomorrow and then United wonât get beaten against them on Saturday noon. Keeping Carrick in the job for one more week or so.
Also the first match under their next manager is likely going to be against us after the international break and I wouldnât put money on us beating them. Seen this movie before.
Welcome to my life since 2019.
Yeah, the Ole era was when the banter really ramped up to 11. Obviously we all had a good laugh at Moyeseh, but the LVG era was mostly boring turgid shite. Mourinho got things going again with some of their results, and then Ole took it to a whole new level, and it hasnât really stopped being funny since then.
This is the easiest bit for me to believe wholeheartedly lol.
