I think the barrier to success for a new manager is less about the players but the overall structure of the club. Our squad needed a lot work, and after 2 summer windows and 3 winter ones we made a CL final with only 4 of the team he inherited. But we pitched to him a clear vision and already had the people in place who would help him achieve it.
Utd are aimless with people in key decision making positions out of their depth and owning significant responsibility for the mess they’re in. It’s incredibly unlikely klopp would have achieved what he did here if he had Wilcox and Berrada to work with with big Jim in the background and the Glazers skimming off the top
It’s glorious…step on my testicles some more…nnnrrrggghh
Thinking of managers to replace him Conte would probably be the best option as whoever comes in needs to not be judged by the car crash and exit. Howe goes there he may end up not getting a job high enough again. Nagelsmann I suppose can go back to Germany but he will have lowered stock.
Conte whatever happens has less to lose in this. I’m Not expecting any of them to turn it around
