What look like three chimneys in the background in the first pic put me in mind of a beach not far from here called Suishohama. I wonder if there’s also a nuclear power plant near where Mo’s staying? Aren’t many people around , are there?

No, that’s musculation, endurance sports demand something else hence my comments. Sports men can have both endurance and muscles of course but musculation is not a necessity. (of course they are more likely to have some musculation compared to me but that’s another story. )
Anyway I was just checking that I had the correct interpretation of the word shredded in this context.
