Mohamed SALAH: 2021/22

Of course it is. But its truly tiresome…

And we seem to be the only one of the top clubs going thru this again and again…

Actually, we’ve had one of the most settled teams in the world over the past few years, which is incredible since we’ve also been the best, and some of our players (Mane included) could have been fighting for more money.

In what area of life do you think transactions potentially worth £100m+ aren’t going to be complicated?

My brother in Christ, you choose to pay attention to the media coverage…

I understand the concern, but I think we are going to be golden.

Darwin Nunez in, Sadio out. This leaves a front three of Diaz-Nunez-Salah, which I think will be quite devastating. And obviously we have Jota, Firmino and Carvalho who will all have a say. I like the size that Nunez brings too, as with Origi leaving (not that he played a lot) we look like a small bunch up top, but Darwin Nunez can put himself about a bit. Which is not to damn him with faint praise, as he can play, and is a goalscorer.

Add a midfielder and it is looking very good. Maybe an opportunistic move for Gavi? Might give us more flexibility to go 4-2-3-1 if that’s the thinking with Nunez?

The Mo conundrum can keep. We know we have him for another season. If he extends, great. If he doesn’t, maybe it will be one Bosman in and one out, with Gnabry taking over in Mo’s position? Either way, there are lots of permutations with regard to how that one might be solved.

I genuinely think we are going to be fine, and that the next great Liverpool team is starting to emerge before our eyes.

Definitely his agent trying to apply pressure by mentioning joining another PL club. Mo knows that would not go down well here just ask Torres.

Fixed this link for you.

Mo appears to dance to his agent’s tune. Just for once, I’d like to hear about a player, growing a spine and telling his agent to fuck off.

We made out with Torres, though. In his last (half) season, he scored when he played, because we played for him, but his legs were gone. It wasn’t really a surprise he didn’t work out at Chelsea. If Mo were to go elsewhere in the PL, he’d probably light it up.

Now the general consensus seems to be acceptance towards Sadio and Mo leaving over the next 12 months, and we’re all thinking about the future, it would be funny if Mo ended up extending. In some ways, it feels like the relationship has already soured.

He’s Mo’s best mate, rather than a standard agent.

He needs to pick his friends better. I’ve not heard of one football agent, who isn’t a slimeball.

Again!

What MO should remember is that he actually does have his limitations in the field of play… He is not a Messi or George Best type of player that can face any number of defenders up and dump them on their arse quite regularly with a swivel of his hips… The problem I see with MO’s style is that he is more than capable of scoring a hatful in any game when the opposing team attack us on the front foot. Unfortunately, most teams are playing with a low block against us meaning he has limited space to run in behind a defence for a one on one with the keeper. Maybe he is just not enjoying being man marked each week with up to three defenders at a time… His strengths may actually be better suited to a Sandcastle set-up whence they defend deep to save their lives and could leave MO up top on his own for the breakaway type of tactic…
IMHO, MO wants to be recognised as the best player in the world. Spectacular goals and lots of them will bring a certain recognition to him, maybe he just feels frustrated at the way Liverpool dominate games but he struggles in
playing in this restrictive role instead of the free flowing cavalier way he wants to play…
Whatever the reasons for this contract stand-off… I have every faith Jurgen will put the interests of the many at LFC before the interests of the few

De Bruyne, he sacked his agent, employed a data analyst to help prove De Bruyne wasn’t on the decline, and was infact pivotal to City’s success. He signed a new contract pretty soon afterwards.

Except that’s exactly what he did twice in one month last season…

I can’t stop watching those two goals, mesmerising.

I think Lukaku did that recently? Something along the lines of, “No one speaks for me…”

Yeah you are right… but I feel the circumstances in a game for him to play well and score spectacular goals are becoming more limited. Its this and maybe even the defensive side of the game demanded by Jurgen which I feel must frustrate him more.
Hey, I hope he signs on the dotted line ASAP, but as the days and weeks go by, it is starting to look unlikely eh

Went to my local shoarma shop this evening for a sandwich and a beer. Talked to them and they assured me he will sign a new contract. Learned btw that his agent is from Libanon.

All will be good folks … :star_struck:

We got significant money for Torres and Sterling and they still got/get blasted and it has ruined their reputation for lots of our fans. If Mo does the same, but for free, well his legacy will be completely annihilated for the vast majority of us fans.
