Mohamed SALAH: 2021/22

Welcome to the agent’s world.

I am taking a cynical vibe from that post. He also put it to his Instagram. Nothing is done by accident or in a vacuum, these agents think (and act) like teenagers with their veiled messages. In that context, I take nothing positive from this image or post.

Mo laughing and slapping the table, his agent behind him, expressionless, reading the offer from the phone. All too calculated. Also weird he would choose an old photo in NB gear.

EDIT: and if anyone has ever read ANY of my Mo posts, I have always been firmly entrenched in the ‘give him what he deserves’ camp. I take absolutely no joy in feeling cynical about his agent’s dumb post.

His agent is a cunt, which is why the “Mo is the innocent party in all this” line is bullshit, he let him worm his way into his life and conduct his business in the way he does.

A big part of any agent’s job description is to be the c*nt so their client can remain blameless while trying to get the biggest paycheck possible. Probably why such a high percentage of agents are slimy bastards.

It’s clearly an old pic - no LFC training gear is made by New Balance.

Poor form guys! Come on

Edit - @Neukölln clocked the NB.

A bit of reminiscing from me.

A message to Mo.

Mo, if you are sitting down with your agent and discussing your new contract and wages, and are wondering if its worth moving for more money, then just ask yourself honestly, where in this universe, in any sport, any team, would you get something like this, other than Liverpool supporters at Anfield…

Salah during AFCON

That Egypt side had no business even making it out of the group. Without Salah their best player is probably Elneny … God thats shit!

To get past Ivory Coast, Morocco and Cameroon is crazy! Don’t know what the European equivalent is?

Maybe Wales getting past Portugal, Holland and Belgium before losing a close fought final on penalties to France?

Wales were entertaining to watch

Was trying to think of a rubbish team with one “star” player in Bale/Salah but it’s hard to think of real like for likes as so many differences between African competitions v European.

It did remind of Greece but I don’t remember them having a star.

Yeah kinda Greece but think they weren’t as shockingly awful all across the pitch as Egypt are. When your 2nd and 3rd most famous/highest regarded players are Elneny and Trezeguet and neither are top players for Arsenal and Aston Villa it really is shocking. Maybe I’m forgetting how bad the Greece team was though?

Im seeing a lot of debate on what I think is one of the dumbest debates in football - Mo not getting to take a pen because he was scheduled to go last. They lost because their 5 selected players did collectively worse. Had Mo had gone earlier, why do we think either of the guys who missed theirs would have been any more likely to make theirs had they had the increased pressure of going last?

Well quite…Senegal would have won anyhow.

Well there’s no way to know what would have happened if they took them in a different order. The variables are too many to predict.

But sure, if Salah takes the first one that doesn’t guarantee they will win. He might not have even scored himself had he had the chance to take one.

Maybe he’ll be on the bench against Leicester, who knows.
