Surely, Abbas didn’t contact Salah immediately after Klopp’s comments and informed him that he’s going to post smilies on fucking twitter.
Abbas is acting like a prick. Not the first time and not the last.

Yup if he had put out a statement saying “that’s incorrect” or something then fair enough, smiles literally minutes after.
Heads up the question was going be asked as well, in the middle of a title race have to say I’m dubious about the whole set up on that. Who asked it anyone know?
The answer is pretty much the same as it’s been, Salah’s response when asked is the same but if we beat Brighton tomorrow this will be what’s asked again.
What we are seeing here comes with the territory. If you become known as the best forward in the game then you have got to expect that player to demand a pay packet that’s equivalent to the best in the world. Unfortunately we live in a time where guys like Ronaldo and Messi are still playing, and on wages that we can’t even really quantify, we have oil nations funding the wages of guys like Mbappe. I’m sorry but if I was Salah and paying a stupid amount to my agent, then I would expect him to fight for an equivalent pay structure to other players who are, in all honesty, inferior to me.
While UEFA (or specifically CAS) allows nations to run clubs and buy whatever and whomever they want without impunity, then we’ll continue to raise the best players and sell them off when they demand that their financial performance exceeds their on-field performance.
That doesn’t make us cheapskates, or a selling club. It’s just the reality that we will never be able to go toe to toe without being bought out by a ME nation and in the process change our identity.
I don’t want us to change how we are run. If Salah leaves which is exactly what this is all pointing to, I truly wish him the best wherever he ends up. He’s a great lad.
And to answer the question, I would keep him for another year and let the contract expire. I’d much rather see another season of him. But then I’m not running the club where £150-200m could be quite key!
I honestly can’t see the club allowing him to let his contract run down and then leave on a free transfer.
What needs to be remembered me thinks…
MO is as good as he is because he is in a Liverpool team, set-up by Jurgen…
Not sure that will ever be the case if he moves elsewhere…
FWIW… His agent does really come across as a knob…!
Depends. Does he ask to stay or leave ahead of the summer window and do we get a fair offer?
I’m OK with him leaving on a free when his deal ends, if he is OK with that too.
Why not?
Money, he’ll be sold in the summer, if he doesn’t sign.
Perhaps, but it’s not an absolute. It will depend on multiple factors.
What is Salah worth on the market with one year left on his contract? How much is he worth to Liverpool if he stays for one more season?
I’d take 100m in the summer. Perhaps 80m at a pinch. If no one wants to pay that much I’d tell Mo (all this assuming he wants to leave and wont sign a contract) that it seems he isn’t as in demand as he thought - perhaps he needs to show he can have a season when he isn’t so wasteful? Then keep him with the hope of a final 40-50 goal season.
I’d let him run his deal out and try get Haaland on a free. Or try Sell in summer and get Haaland with that money.
I’d like to see the look on Salah’s agent’s face once he realises that Mbappe is signing for Liverpool on a free in July.
Depends on the effort he puts in and how well he plays.
Fair points, I would also add how the rest of the season pans out.
I dont see either of those scenarios being an option. Haaland is most likely moving this summer, and i dont see us being in the running for him whether or not Salah goes.
To be fair, why would he care? He doesn’t care where Salah plays. He cares what Salah, and therefore he, is paid. If Mbappe is coming in his agent will be happy knowing he’s about to have a big payday.
See. Here we go. This shit is completely unnecessary from the agent. He negotiates like a teenager. Fucks sake.
He is just after a reaction. Fans should ignore it.
