Mohamed SALAH: 2021/22

All of this.

It only incites.

Could be trying to incite more hatred towards the owners to get fan pressure on the agents side, don’t think it’s worked but could be a theory alongside being a cunt for why he is sending tweets like that out

Exactly, it’s the Mino Raiola tactic of trying to get the fans involved in negotiations. Ignore agents, they’re all snakes.

I’ve had sympathy with Mo til now in all this. If everyone’s telling you you’re the best player in the world then you’ll want to be paid the going rate and if the club want the best players in the world then you’ve got to expect to pay it. I think the agent has made a major error today with that tweet. It looks as though he’s laughing at Klopp and what he said in the presser. Maybe that’s not the intention but that’s what it looks like and a lot of fans like me who’ve been on his side til now will be reconsidering. Having a pop at the billionaires who own us is fair enough and comes with the territory but having a go at the manager, especially this one, is way out of order.

I hadn’t realised there was a Twitter thing of manbabies photoshopping players into their clubs shirts and begging their agents for them to sign. People are very, very weird.

This feels like it’s going the way of Can and Gini. Hope we have someone lined up if that is the case

No problem to see him leave next year on a free.

If we win another major trophy this season I don’t have a problem to see him being sold this summer.

Paris probably the only team outside England to be able to afford him and they might try to replace Mbappe with Mo.

He has also leaked info to the twitter blagger Romano. Right in the middle of a proper tough run of games and pivotal time of the season… utter cunt. Mo should sort him out as it looks very bad on him.

Abbas definitely screwed up. The only thing that tweet will achieve is to turn the fanbase against him. Klopp is a god. You don’t mess with him.

As for the contract itself, what Klopp is saying makes sense. It really is up to Salah. The club has probably offered the best terms it can according to the wage structure in place. And that’s something that Salah needs to recognize for himself. He has every right to want to be compensated as one of the best players in the world but unfortunately that’s beyond Liverpool’s means.

If it really means that much to him, he can start packing his bags for one of the plastic clubs or Madrid or Barcelona. They are the clubs that can fulfil any monetary ambition. I just hope that he realises that at the end of the day no one will remember how much he was paid but how he played and how much he won. And that it was Klopp and Liverpool along with his hard work that got him where he is now.

Mo is loved here by the fans and gets the adulation he deserves from the stands, where would he get the same support, same love?

Money is important but shouldn’t be the sole focus.

I personally dont what us to go overboard on basic wages as that can lead down a slippery slope and player malcontent.

We play as a team, win as a team and celebrate as a team. Team harmony is what has made us succeed, thanks to an unbelievable manager who fosters this.

It’ll get done. There is no new news.

Abbas being a dickhead using social media, but Mo holds the cards. Mo doesnt strike me as one chasing money only. He wants the success.

Still confident he’ll sign; but we probably need to wait a while yet.

Meh, doubt he cares. Agents are often willing to do this sort of thing because whatever happens they get paid and can often blag that their player got more than he would have.

I’m of this opinion, too. If Real Madrid are so intent on signing Mbappe and Haaland at the same time (according to The Athletic, they are), maybe they wouldn’t be able to afford Salah this summer. Barcelona probably can’t afford him and definitely none of the Italian clubs can. That leaves PSG and Bayern - the latter might want a new superstar if Lewandowski decides he’s had enough but they are not the club to pay a king’s ransom and break their wage structure for a 30-year old. The former will surely want a new superstar once Mbappe does one to Madrid. Everything lines up, except the part where Liverpool have to find a forward who will replace his awe-inspiring bursts of pace, nigh on impeccable fitness record and 35+ goal contributions per season.

It would need to be a stupid offer for us to sell him in the summer, regardless.

I’m torn between selling him this summer or keeping him for another year.

This will no doubt be a great offer but if it isn’t enough I would like to thank Salah for his services and wish him every success he will be one of the best to me.

I just haven’t decided yet, not that I have anything to say about it :upside_down_face:, sell or let him walk in 2023. I’m leaning towards the latter, although that also depends on whether we win further prizes this season and which ones. If we don’t take the PL, something I still don’t expect, I say; keep him and next year go with everything to win it but if it works out and we win the PL this season… shit, then I want the PL next year too :innocent:, so keep him anyway or …

Like I said, I’m torn. :stuck_out_tongue:

If I’m honest I’m more annoyed by how this was evidently planted and played out we don’t need these shitty distractions.

Yes, might go for him next summer on a free although I wouldnt be surprised if they had the cash to get deals for all 3 this summer?

It’s flat-out deliberately disrespectful. It would be whoever was involved and on any level. That’s simply not the way to conduct oneself
