Mohamed SALAH: 2024/25

A bit late to the party, but absolutely delighted to hear that Mo is staying with us! As I wrote earlier in this thread, it’s a privilege to be able to watch him play for us on a weekly basis. He’s a professional player through and through, one at Milner levels, but he combines this with a joy and inventiveness on the pitch I’ve seldom come across, coupled with a unique ruthlessness in front of goal as @Limiescouse pointed out.

Aside his contribution on the pitch, as a role model for younger players in the squad, he’ll be priceless for us these next two years. Looking forward to everything he’ll still offer us.

And now… on to you, VVD.

Yes, yes. But what about that watch?

Salah will give his best for the team until father time calls time on his top flight career! it gives the transfer team a bit of time and space to plan the transition.

At least Mo will be able to see that time clearly!

Or is simply the fact the last 4 weeks you have been trying to convince everyone he was leaving.

Ugly for sure. Blue. :man_facepalming:

Where was the meltdown here Patek Phileppe watch.

Those cost peanuts compared to Mo’s Richard Mille.

And nobody is having a “meltdown”. People are just commenting about the optics of wearing a watch that costs nearly a million quid and/or how tacky the watch is.

So thats a meltdown. He could have come in wearing a suit made of 50 quid notes and its no skin off anyones nose its his money.

So any discussion on the internet is a meltdown?

alright

This is yes

so anything @COG says from hence forth is a meltdown, and we are free to ignore him?

I don’t understand it.

We already know what Mo Salah earns through wages and endorsements. Why is him wearing a £1m pound watch any more disgusting than paying someone £400k a week?

We seem at peace with footballers earning obscene money. But we have a problem with footballers spending obscene money?

A lot of people are not “at peace” with it.

They can spend what they like …provided they don’t show it in public…

Anyway…
Do what you like Mo, fuck the begrudgers

Yes.

I’ve not been trying to convince anyone he’s leaving. Nice to be noticed though!

Like everyone on here I love LFC and I’m passing the time of day commenting.

The longer it went on without Salah signing a new deal, coupled with the comments he has made publicly, more out than in, that sort of thing, made it seem more likely than less that he would leave.

I’m glad he had signed an extension. He is our most reliable scorer of goals, a leader, and a top player.

It’s not a meltdown. I commented, and it was measured, considered and respectful.

If that’s a meltdown the forum has gone to shit!

Now, that last sentence was closer to a meltdown, but it was not about Mo, but rather, people’s lack of perspective.

Except he obviously didn’t spend anything on it. Either given it or paid to wear when signing

Fuck sake lads, one of our all time greats has signed a two year extension, we’re on the precipice of our second league title in 35 years… can you not just enjoy the moment and stop shiteing on about a fucking ugly watch?
