Looks like Mo will go to Saudi when his new contract is up. For 500 million I’d consider going there too.
Not for me. If he’s still getting around 20 league goals in the next two seasons, then you have to extend him and try to help him beat Shearer’s record. There’s no reason he can’t unless Father Time just decides to take away his pace, power, and accuracy all at the same time. Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Messi all played into their mid to late 30s at a high level. No will be 34 when his next contract expires, and if he’s still playing even half decent then I think you try to help him beat the record with another 2-year deal. He’s good value for it and you know what it would mean to him.

I’m not implying that he should leave at the end of his current contract. That all depends on how well he is performing. I posted it because I think this is the first time that he has openly said he will play in Saudi before he retires.

Maybe still keeping his options open? I get the impression that his family are very settled in Liverpool. I suppose one thing is that MLS probably looks less attractive now with the upheaval in the US.

For 500M, be it GBP, EURO or USD, I won’t consider it all.
I would just grab it in half a heartbeat, bitting off the hand that offered it in the process.

Only a matter of time then, now almost surely post-Liverpool.
I was wondering if there would be an in between move in Europe if he was free, but Saudi is very logical.

I’ve just had my hair cut and the barber today was Egyptian. He has a little shrine to Mo in the corner and, as you can imagine, was very chatty.

I think Mo is the attraction, but he seems to watch all our games. He tried to have a go at speaking Scouse as well. It was… interesting. I think he must have had that Lern Yerself Scouse book.
