Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

Think there more to it than just the matches. Will find out soon enough

I think his comment was bollocks, but he was absolutely NOT disparaging Egypt. It was the very opposite. His point was Egypt are a power house of African football but have won nothing in the era of their best ever player. His point was that for all the accolades you can bestow on Mo it is a reminder that he cannot win things by himself, not even when playing for such a strong side as Egypt (relative to African football).

Expect you’re right. Perhaps Slot has said things at training etc as a precursor to dropping him - fairly normal stuff. I think Mo just can’t accept his form/play/touch/finishing are all nowhere near what they were and he is caught up on his previous figures.

That doesn’t make sense to do the week before he leaves for AFCON

Well it’s now that he’s been left out - that seems to be the unforgivable act breaching ā€˜promises’ etc. He’s a footballer speaking in a foreign language, not a criminal mastermind.

An impartial take from a former Red. Very interesting.

Dejan is always going to stick up for his coffee bro, especially as he’s now outside the cafe

Like I said there’s more than meets the eye here.

Yeah, I mean… we as fans (or the public in general) don’t even have to know. But hopefully he tells that person directly in intimacy (and vice versa, if something needs to be told to him). That’s where these things need to be sorted out, not through media.

Actually it is a bias take since Lovern only heard from Mo’s side of the story. (Or perhaps your comment was sarcasm. :+1:)

There’s one side that needs supporting: Liverpool.

There has to be a lot more that we are not aware of. Salah may have burst out his grievances in public, but he couldn’t have been calm and content before he was dropped. Slot’s relegating him to bench might have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

With such a rotten run of results and performances going for more than 2 months, it’s also safe to assume that he isn’t the only one in the team with an axe to grind. If it hadn’t been Salah, it would have been someone else. Not as vociferously and blunt as Salah did, but someone would have spoken up.

There is no way, that this isn’t just a symptom of more widespread discontent.

Coming from an Englishman where they sing about ā€˜football coming home’ but haven’t won a fucking thing in 60 years. Can we therefore not respect any English players’ achievements at their clubs? It’s a totally irrelevant and spiteful point designed to get clicks.

Mo obviously has an ego but it’s nonsense to suggest he doesn’t care about the team. Wasn’t he the one tweeting about the disrespect being shown to the players who left over the summer?

Similarly, Carra saying that he threw all our right backs under the bus. Bullshit. Trent clearly loved Mo, as have most of our players both past and present. There’s no way he would have that affection if he put himself above the team for the past 8 years

Last time I checked, both Arne and Mo are still firmly Liverpool. Mo has clearly professed his love for the club and the fans.

I was referring to Lovren’s comment, about there being two sides.

Carragher really didn’t like being namechecked by Salah.

This is unbelievably petty.

This guy is a proven moron. Ignoring him is the best course of action imo.
