Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

I’ll save my adulations for Mo for another time. I think I’ve mentioned that I was in Cairo at the pyramids proudly wearing a Mo Salah shirt when we won the title last April, if that tells you anything about how much I loved rooting for that man.

But for now, I’ll just say that this isn’t a surprise. The only surprise would be if this was a mutual termination of his contract, as I wanted to recoup a fee for him.

I have been a bit of a critic of Mo this past 2 seasons, but watching this had me in tears.

So sad to see a superstar of our club and a fantastic person, role model and brilliant footballer leave our club.

Definitely looks like contract termination.

Thanks for giving me a nightmare.

Ridiculous CV…those 3 PFA Awards nail it for me. His peers knew he was the business.

Clumsy wording on my part. Meant I hope he gets the chance to come back, not that he wouldn’t be welcomed.

So many players leave and you never see them back again despite thinking you would. People and their lives naturally move on so you can never be sure.

Would love a Mo, Bobby and Mane reunion one day.

Unbelievable player. Gutted to see him go and I even said a few days ago he’ll be here next season. Bit shocked tbh

My 6yo is devastated. Watching that video on repeat. He wrote to Mo and got a signed picture back so thinks they know each other.

I’m grateful for all the memories that Mo gave us but also that he got my son loving Liverpool :crown:

Sadio still with the side-eye because of that time Mo chose to shoot rather than pass

Watch him do a Lewandowski though and go bang goals in for someone in a decent league.

At least 6 blokes eyeing up that coffee machine spot, too.

Looks like it’ll be a termination by mutual consent…i.e. no fee for us.

Given he has a reported weekly income of 400kpw (i assume includes Bonuses) moving his wages off the books without a fee suits the club.

Absolute legend!

Thanks for everything Mo. Bargain of the century, the star of one of the best sides to play the game.

Magnificent player and person and will be sorely missed.

Let’s end the season on a high!

Wonder if he will be like Rivaldo , never hanging up his boots, travelling to even the smallest leagues to play as he ages

I expect Robertson will leave this summer too, which means only van Dijk and Becker will remain from the Klopp era.

Depressing.

Third highest goalscorer in LFC’s history. Above him lie only Roger Hunt from the 50s/60s and Ian Rush from the 80s/90s. We’ll see another player of his calibre in 20-30 years time.

A true Liverpool legend and a real role model both off and on the pitch.

That summer we got one Mo/Virg/Robbo for a single Isak.

Dad always exclaimed, “Salahhhhh!” whenever we attack near the final 1/3 of the opponents side of the pitch. It is going to be difficult to imagine without Mo running down the right wing next season onwards.

According to Sky Sports, his contract will be terminated and he’ll leave as a free agent.
