Olise is a great player. As you highlighted, why would he go to Chelsea? Lots of competition. Going by Chelsea’s policy under Boehly, your just an asset. There is no career management.
Yep, even if they told you that they wanted you as a centre piece of their attack you can only believe that for about 3 months. The next transfer window and they’ll be chasing whoever happens to be playing well to replace you.

Yeah, completely agree. The whole u-turn on the Tyler Adams deal, shows that their strategy is random and not to be trusted. They genuinely believed they could sign all 3, our bid completely scuppered that, which is why they pulled out of the TA deal.

They appear to be letting him run down his 4 year contract to save some money. Smart move by Chelsea. By the time he joins they will be struggling with the compensation payout of their 12th Manager in 4 years, so the reduced fee would be welcome.

This may well be true but they are firmly putting their foot down on players and their agents. However in saying that, claiming it’s an auction and then entertaining further bids, is dirty by anyone’s standards. Personally I hope their stuck with a disgruntled player.
