I tent to blame his agents tbh, he is still a young boy and after all it’s just a business.

I understand that he feels somehow committed to them because they 've been in contact over a long while and we just jumped in.

Imo let’s see how it’s develops and let him have some time to think about it.

Noooooo Jabu but you don’t understand my friend, as the great Christopher Lambert once said…There can only be 1!!!

He should stay at Brighton for that to happen  ideal case Chelsea doesn’t match our bid and buy someone else and we pull out and get Lavia.Goldilocks!!!

We bid for him last summer.

Sounds to me like his entourage like living it up in London

Im still of the opinion that Chelsea have sweetned the deal somehow. There isn’t a chance we bid with out some notion he would come here all transfers work the same see if the player is interested then bid.

I do love the London thing though, as they all live out in Surrey anyhow.

Not been argumentative but what would it do what purpose would it serve.

Dont know who will win but would be interested to know who started it

I think it’s one of the agents. He’s got like a full entourage representing him and it appears they seem to only be interested in getting every penny possible out of this and at whatever expense to their client. I think Chelsea sweetened it for them. Still going to have trouble putting together a package that is lucrative enough to beat ours to BHA.

So we’ve agreed a price with Brighton for Caicedo but he wants to go to Chelsea.

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Southampton for Lavia but we’re led to believe he wants to come here.

And Brighton are looking at Lucas Gourna-Douath from Salzburg to replace Caicedo.

So why don’t we go and get a deal set up with Salzburg for Gourna-Douath. Then we tell Brighton not to accept Chelsea’s bid or only if it’s so much it prices them out of Lavia, otherwise we’ll take their replacement and they’re the ones without a partner at the end of the dance.

Then we just go and get Lavia AND Gourna-Douath anyway and loan him to Brighton for a year so they can turn him into a £100m player for us in the next 12 months.

When he spat dummy out and removed all references to Brighton from his social media.

Well last summer is apparently long ago in football terms, he even wanted to go to Arsenal right?

What i mean is that he just had his first talk with Klopp and everything what’s happening must be a bit overwhelming tbf.

He should change his agent as soon as possible.

been 20 hours and we still waiting for that 115-120 million bid from the great Chelsea

Sorry, you initially missed the 1p joke, in reference to Arsenal’s bid for Suarez. But being serious, If Chelsea match our bid it is then upto the player. They don’t have to better our offer unless its on payment structure.

If Brighton have accepted our bid… and our interest to buy him remains… then surely, Brighton can’t sell him to Chelsea instead… OR have I got this totally wrong… :person_shrugging:

So I ask you this, do you think this is a tactic ploy we would’ve gone down the road of if we still had Ward or Edwards?

not for less than we agreed… that is why Chelsea wants us to withdraw our offer as they have to match it for brighton to even consider it
