Moises Caicedo (DM/CM/RB) Brighton and Hove Albion

Out for a few hours, come back to 175 updated posts on here…was hoping for a turnaround in our fotunes.

But nope

Those are good sources

It just says Chelsea are expected to pay but they have still not submitted a bid. The more time it takes it might include more add-ons and Brighton might again reject the bid.

Deal is not done but it’s heading Chelsea’s way. Mind boggling if they break British transfer record for second time in six months and then also get Lavia for £55m #cfc

If they do get it done it is another reason not to have commentary on or tune in early to the match.

Pathetic plastic club doing club signing unveiling whilst having half a squad.

i want it done…it was fun holding them over the barrel and they will pay the fee. I really dont want the player.

I remember a woman writing to an agony aunt column stating that her husband had gone to the shop to buy a bottle of sauce… She said that it was 12months ago, and she hasn’t seen, or heard from him since… and asking the agony aunt, did she think this was OK…?
The agony replied, and said no… it was Cheerio :0)

But how is my question?

This is the key. Chelsea claiming the deal is valued at equal or more than ours doesnt mean it will be acceptable. Chelsea seemingly are struggling to front load the deal sufficiently and that might make it difficult to satisfy Brighton regardless of how much they value the totality of the deal.

These fuckers are gonna parade him around at HT tomorrow aren’t they ?

I just hope we are 3-0 up at this time :joy:

PL rules and FPP can be manipulated, if not the rules, then the people who make them…Once it became a battle of ego’s, there was only one winner as it was a game we were not playing

Yeah that would be baffling, I hazard a guess as soon as that bid goes in the other disappears.

That’s why it’s going off bar for the period of the game.

Of course. But it’s also evident Chelsea have been leading the chase for months. Chelsea want him. Still want him. They’ve been working hard on the deal player side, despite no agreement with Brighton. Perhaps Chelsea have offered more wages again and or agent fees and this just changes the situation once more.

What’s clear is there’s a stumbling block. Player side agreement wise. Nothing supposedly has ventured much forward. Presumably there’s lots of discussion going on in the background to convince Caicedo. Perhaps the club should have been more proactive on this front.

However, if they offer to pay more 115 and pay less upfront…

By this logic they should have atleast sealed Lavia’s deal by now. Neither Fab or Ornstein has reported about the bid from Chelsea for Lavia. I guess they are double bidding with the same money. If we really want to ruin their season we can seal Lavia’s deal first and their Caicedo’s bid will anyway fail. If we don’t buy Lavia first they might get Lavia if Caicedo joins us. We don’t do these kind of things but may be he has rubbed FSG the wrong way and they aren’t poor - they are billionaires.

Apparently both the Saudi deals were quite upfront a bit rare in football.

That’s probably helping our ability to put together a deal.

We have bid 111 mp for the player,if we don’t land him at that price i’m ok with missing out on him.At the price we bid we near could have had Bellingham and we didn’t go to that for him ,i think most of us were ok with that. He’s a very good player and someone who would really improve our midfield but it’s more than any of us would have suggested we pay only last week.
