3 panelist’s for a game is way too many especially when they are probably getting feedback that suggests people hardly watch it.
As I said Sky put a lot of money in for that EFL deal so they are willing to pay for lots of content and content is key for these going forward.
Effectively 6 games on a Saturday lunch time across the 3 leagues they can be hosted effectively by 2 people.
Also I can’t remember but I think Sky can show goals as they happen, this will change that 3pm goals show considerably, I expect they will work this into any EPL deal as they’ve already got the highlights that go up literally at 5pm.
So say from 2024-25 the soccer Saturday show will be a goals show on sky, how can TNT hope to compete with that?
Probably should be welcomed really, sports coverage is the same as it was 30 years ago but who watches it like that.
I really dislike him. I guess it’s the way it works now, but so much of his commentary feels geared towards having his “clever” preplanned lines go viral afterwards. I just dislike commentators who try to make themselves the center of the coverage
Drury? Yeah, he’s a bit over the top for me. Didn’t miss him at all last season. Him and Beglin got all the big games and they both drove me up the wall.
I don’t know him personally, so don’t know if he’s a “dick” or not. But he’s a far better analyst than you’re giving him credit for, in my opinion at least.
Well I dont know him either.
He’s an annoying individual, comes out with some shit which makes me think, “dick”
I’m stating that as an opinion, not fact as many political opinions are thrust at us
