During his vows he commented that he invited Sian Massey and she didnt come, so really itâs her who is sexist, but no one at Sky wants you to know that.
A straight, white male⌠somebody has dropped a clanger.
Not sure why they didnât scrap it.
Assume itâs because they have that new football league deal next year.
Did modern life upset you in someway?
In more ways than you could even contemplate my friend.
Iâm not a violent man, but I so want to punch this cunt square on the nose.
I wouldnât do it on a full moon just saying.
For some reason I scrolled far enough down to read the section where he rambles on about Chelsea & Poch and couldnât help myself but throw a giggle.
There seems to be a lot of hostility or passive aggressiveness towards Virgil from ex-players, well respected ex-playersâŚeven some fellow compatriots, does it stem from envy or are they seeing a different character to what we see him as? Who knows, but what is the deal with this whopper. Youâd think someone his age would be long retired, enjoying the short time he has left buying LV bags and Prada shoes for that fiance of his thatâs old enough to be his granddaughterâŚdeep sigh but no, here he is with his own column in the Echo & weâre all sat left bemused scratching our heads thinking why.
There has always been a perceived arrogance of him.
I genuinely think itâs due to how he makes it so easy at times as for Keys though. He just doesnât like us.
But most people I know donât like him.
Long queue for that one
Virgil wouldnât have been my choice as captain, but there was nobody else. So here we are.
Andy Grayâs âopen the gatesâ comments slammed by Liverpool MP
Hillsborough survivor Ian Byrne said he was âstaggeredâ by the broadcasterâs words
A Hillsborough survivor and Liverpool MP has slammed comments from veteran broadcaster Andy Gray after problems with fans getting into Arsenalâs stadium this weekend.
The Premier League was back underway this weekend and the early kick off on Saturday saw Nottingham Forest travel to Arsenal. But kick off had to be delayed at The Emirates Stadium as thousands of fans could not get through the turnstiles.
The problems were put down to a new e-ticket system, which has been brought in by the London club this season and appeared to have teething issues leading to the problems outside the ground
In a discussion about the situation on international broadcaster beIN sports, Andy Grayâs co-host Richard Keys said: âWhat Arsenal have rightly, or I suppose the police have rightly done, is to say look, there could be an issue here.â
His co-host then said then interrupted him and said: âOpen the gates.â A surprised Keys then replied with: âEh?â with Mr Gray adding: âLet them in.â
Richard Keys said: âWell you canât just open the gates.â But Mr Gray insisted: âYes you can.â At this point Mr Keys reminded his co-host of what happened at the Hillsborough disaster, when 97 Liverpool fans were unlawfully killed in a stadium crush.
Mr Gray then added: âYou just let them through as you would do normally. All those people there have got tickets right.â
The former Everton player was promptly called out for his comments on social media, with the Hillsborough Survivors Alliance calling his words âridiculous and thoughtless.â
Another to respond was Liverpool West Derby MP Ian Byrne, a lifelong Liverpool fan who was at Hillsborough on the day of disaster and is now campaigning to educate all generations about the truth of what happened on that day in 1989 and in the years following.
Mr Byrne tweeted: â'Open the gatesâ - âjust let them inâ - Commentary which chills the soul. What was Andy Gray thinking."
Speaking to the ECHO, Mr Byrne added: "It was staggering that someone of his experience in the game, who played in Liverpool for Everton and has commentated for so long would make such a stupid statement. I found it hard to comprehend.
"You would think someone in Andy Grayâs position has had every opportunity to learn about incidents like Hillsborough and what can go wrong. It was just idiotic.
The pair of them are fucking dinosaurs
Andy Gray behaving like a cunt? No surprise.
Richard Keys not behaving like a cunt? Unprecedented.
Gray has never struck me as the sharpest tool in the box, a bit thick even. I donât think Keys can be blamed for this one though.
Carragher may need to wind his neck in sometimes.
He appears to be crossing the border into âCanât Stand This Cnut Any Longerâ territory with a lot of people.
