Naby KEITA: 2020/21

Based on what? Should he will himself to play through the injuries? Like Hodgson did with Sturridge on England duty.

That worked out well.

Who else is going to take him? Poor sod! (and poor us for blowing all that money)

Bournemouth? ://////

Iā€™ll drive him down there at this rate if needed. Just give me a ticket JĆ¼rgen to next yearā€™s champions league final when we are there

Well, he certainly wonā€™t be able to walk.

I can so I could kick him down there. :innocent:

Weetabix legs

Donā€™t believe it. I reckon heā€™s already out the door.

Agreed. I donā€™t believe this for one minute.

Why not? Itā€™s very believable. Sadly

Heā€™ll definitely be gone apart from being injured 90% of this season Klopp no longer trusts him.

Itā€™s a shame because he is a very talented player.

Iā€˜m on board with the frustration about his injuries.

But I also think that it will be nearly impossible to find a buyer and even if it wonā€™t be without making a huge loss.

We already have to buy one midfielder for at least Ā£35m to replace Gini who is leaving on a free.

Always have to think about what Klopp said about Sturridge:

ā€˜we wonā€™t sell him because it would be too expensive to replace himā€™

Think that 100% fits for the Naby situation too. Donā€™t think we are in a better situation financially than we were back then.

Sadly talent means fuck all if you are injured. Feels like this is the end for Naby and Oxlade will get his chance next season.

I think he will be on couple of loan spells before leaving for free in 2023.

I know Mail and Metro are crap but both of them are reporting an interest from Atletico.

Yeah so good to have an reliable injury free player like Ox in the squad.

I still think our best bet is to find a club willing to take him on loan, with the option to make the deal permanent.

Even if we can get him fit he will be going to AFCON in January/February next year, and you wouldnā€™t bet on him not coming back injured.

A loan deal at least offers up the prospect of a partial reduction in his employment costs, and if he plays well and stays fit, you never know, the other club might see their way to buying him.

Can see that happen too.

Think that reported interest comes from his agent.

Cheap enough and people will take a punt. Even if it is just 20mā€¦ I would just move Keita on. The injuries are getting ridiculous now. He isnā€™t worth anything to us in the treatment room.

Same with Ox, Matip, etc. Nothing wrong with their talent but letā€™s just move some of them on and buy healthier players.

Weā€™ll get some idea tomorrow if Keita has gone. If heā€™s not in the stadium for the final game of the season, in front of fans, then yes heā€™s on his way. We just need his arsehole of an agent to find him another club.
