Yeah I think I’d take the wrestling from Burnley over that any day.
Thought he played really well today before Pogba decided to take him out of the game. After being hooked in midweek I was a bit worried about him starting this one but they made it so fucking easy for us in the first 15 minutes any nerves he may have had disappeared. Think he gave one bad ball away but otherwise he was tidy in possession and pressed well.
Don’t forget what happened to Joe Gomez at Burnley. But yeh, today was a fucking disgrace.
Well Ramos and Salah as well but yeah tackles can end seasons like that.
" Naby to boss the game and bag another beauty. Redemption complete. "
I had written this in the pre-match thread and was chuffed to fuck to see it come to pass , until that is that disgusting tackle from Pogshit. (Made even worse imo by that other dickhead Fernandes screaming to the ref that he had won the ball , totally unconcerned about a player lying on the ground with a potentially broken leg.) Shameful behaviour from those two in particular and all the others who picked up yellow cards. All six of them !
Didn’t want to post this last night because I was so upset at the thought of him sustaining a serious injury after probably his best outing in a red shirt. Thankfully , that doesn’t appear to be the case and just hope he’s back soon enough and putting in these type of performances on a regular basis.
I think even his biggest critics knew there was a very good player in there somewhere and yesterday he proved it.
Get well soon Naby lad.
Naby is starting to show the type of performances we expected from him.
Better late than never and let’s all hope this injury from that fuckbag Pogba isn’t serious and he can continue his rich vein of form.
Hope it’s not serious as you said he is showing performances that show he is a serious option to go to, a long term injury will set him back
If we treat him like Lallana and keep him away from our back 4. His game is definitely more suited to further up the midfield.
Naby lad popping up in empty spaces around fridge Maguire and fat Shaw.
He’s high risk and high reward. He’s one for pass and move and ball carrying, which is important, but he lacks a bit on the defensive side. I think the balance is worth it when we know we have enough of the ball and aren’t being overrun.
Hope he’s back starting again in a week.
If he can stay fit, I am really hoping he can start to iron out the defensive frailties and we will see what we all expected from him!
Finally got to watch MOTD2 and you realise how good he was and just how easy he can make things look.
Quietly going about his business, breaking things up, working triangles and bringing the ball forward past opposition players.
The tackle is horrendous and hopefully it’s just some bruising. Good sign that he didn’t have one of those temporary casts so fingers crossed they didn’t think it was a break.
If you are worried about whether he’s actually injured, go check out ‘Inside Old Trafford’ on the LFC website.
There’s a ground level shot of the tackle and he rolls onto his belly and lifts his lower leg of both legs up and down in a painful gesture, but absolutely not a break type injury:

If it was anyone else on this planet I would say he misses one game for any bruising, but this is Naby who can get injured over almost anything. Still I’m pretty fucking confident with Klopp’s reaction after the game and this footage that it isn’t serious.
Promising news on Naby and looks like we’ll have Fabinho back for Saturday
Waiting for Thaigo to return at earliest as well and with Curtis back we should be able to manage without much fuss hopefully.
If Naby had used proper shin pads, he probably wouldn’t be injured at all.
Is that a Tamagotchi?
They are absurd. Like he’s tucked a pair of teabags into his socks.
Medical team surely has to ban them
Looks like he’s got a packet of fags down there! They can’t protect anything.
