Good (or lucky) goal but did fuck all for the first 60 minutes.
Honestly, it’s a difficult midfield to look good in. Im not saying that to lower expectations, but to move them, to provide a different perspective of what people view as a good midfield performance. It’s not a midfield where you’re going to do a lot of clean eye catching work. But its one in which your body and mind have to move at a 1000 mph. Ultimately we have a game plan that leans incredibly heavily on the ability of our midfield to suffocate the opposition and move the ball quickly and intelligently, and this is a team that has gone through a fantastic period of success in his time here. Yet, during that time every single member of the midfield, with the possible exception of Fab, have got it in the neck in the fans for not being good enough. The two cannot be reconciled.

Tbf, those splinters are quite painful.
I was coming on to say that he reminded me of Cantona. Didn’t realise someone had beaten me to it.
I bet there were a few in Row Z ducking for cover when they saw Naby lining up that volley with his swinger. Good for him. He’s never going to be a world beater but he doesn’t need to be in this team. Just stay fit and make a positive contribution when you get your chance and so far he’s done that.
