Napoli vs. Liverpool | CL Match Day 1 | Sep 7, 20:00 | Stadio Diego Armando Maradona

Spending too much time with Ox and Keita… :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

No major surprises in that, considering Fabio’s might not have fully been looked at.

With Jones missing on Saturday this was expected.

Please don’t tell me he’s injured AGAIN :man_facepalming:t2:

He is starting to become a big concern though. Him missing on Saturday was not that unexpected, as not everyone will have the same trajectory back into the match day squad. With as many niggle injuries as he’s had you can understand them giving him an extra week to get ready than someone who like Matip who resumed training at the same time. But for him to them be missing from training straight afterwards…

He played, what, 5 mins in the community shield has barely even been involved in training since.

I expected an injury to be honest, otherwise it would have been Bajectic.

Jota and Thiago back is great news, we’ve missed them both.

Also big news Victor Osimhen didn’t train today for Napoli, with how we are currently playing i.e. wide open on the counter, he would have had a field day.

So just the pace of Lozano to deal with in his absence then.

Travelling squad : Alisson, Gomez, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Thiago, Milner, Firmino, Salah, Adrian, Elliott, Jota, Tsimikas, Diaz, Robertson, Nunez, Arthur, Matip, Bajcetic, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold, Davies.

From a quick scan - no Jones or Fabio (along with the expected absentees). Klopp’s pre-match press conference is at 7pm, so I’d expect we get an update on those two then.

Was the comment on Thiago slightly sarcastic

Glad Carvalho sounds like a precaution. Looks like Arthur will be brought in gradually.

Maybe Thiago and Melo will play 90 minutes between them.

Injured, something to do with his back and growing (something Jürgen said in his pre-match conference against Everton I think).
