Crazy to think if they had just removed this element it would have probably gone ok.

If they’d removed that element then no-one would have been interested.

Isn’t it interesting that Bayern and PSG were not interested - two clubs who have absolutely no worries about qualifying from their tin pot leagues.

What if they proposed 20 best teams based on last 10 years European coefficient qualifies for ESL? Bottom 2/3 teams of ESL season drops off making way for another 2/3 teams based on last 10 years European coefficient.

It would have guaranteed the top 10-12 teams top football for almost eternity.
