New European Super League

They will be, they’re all skint.

From by far the biggest club in a one club league. Like all clubs, they are only looking after themselves, and are likely very happy being a big fish in a small pond.

Not much to take from a statement from Bayern!

Sure, all clubs look after themselves (pockets) first. Thats why FSG jumped on it whenever it happened a few months ago.

But they will always be in the Bundesliga…this is about replacing the chamions league isnt it?

Hope these guys take City and Newcastle along with them.

Arsenal is the next one, still nothing from us …

TIA are saying that the club won’t release a statement and that its position remains unchanged.

We don’t need a new statement unless our present position has changed.

At the end of the day I feel the clubs will ultimately have to leave their domestic games to play in any league like this. I’d love it to be the end of FIFA or great reform but sadly someone will pay someone and the iron grip remains.

These things usually end up in adoption rather than destruction. Sadly giving the ownership of Barca and Real Madrid more power in their hands is not the “greatest day in football” as they see it.

There we go. Short and sweet.

Yesterday’s ruling by the European Court of Justice does not change Liverpool FC’s previous stance on a proposed European Super League. Our involvement has been discontinued.

We will continue to work with fellow clubs through the ECA and participate in UEFA competitions.

Thank you.

Lolz TIA

The discourse around this is dumb.

It was clear even from the original release of the ESL that it was nothing more than exploratory discussions, ones you’d expect the be occurring given the dissatisfaction with UEFA. And if those discussions are happening then Liverpool need to be part of them. The “plans” were released not because the clubs involved had reached an agreement over how to move forward, but because Juve were in a life and death struggle with UEFA over spending issues and so unilaterally released them to use them as a bargaining chip in their fight against UEFA. This is why everyone but 3 immediately disassociated themselves with it, and of the remaining 2 Barca were themselves in a similar but worse situation with UEFA and Real dont think they should have to answer to anyone but themselves.

Since that initial moment, the only noises about the ESL have come from Juve and Barca doing it to continue their fight with UEFA, and this fucking marketing company who dont want their opportunity to profit off someone else’s labor to go away.

I thought it was Perez and his wankfest interview.

You are right though, and we had to deal with the fall out dead on as we played the Monday. One time I was glad there was no fans.

It would be malpractice for the club not to study this in detail…The statement by LFC and all other clubs does not change anything. These are by no means short term issues or decisions…

One thing remains cast in stone. LFC cannot compete financially in the current climate of football with sovereign wealth clubs that cheat and are enabled by UEFA…

The owners, at some point, are obligated to explore all possible options…

Hate Perez, Madrid and Barca all one might, but their analysis of the current status of the game is dead right…

Oh the game needs to be analysed but not by these guys.

And that goes for the Saudi fucks eithier.
