New European Super League

Why are FSG going release a statement tomorrow, why can’t they do it tonight?
It looks bad on them.

If John Henry was sure we were about to get a £300m windfall from the ESL, why would he sell a stake in the club just prior to that.

3billion wasn’t it

Their sleeping

They need Jordan to write it for them, but he’s a bit busy from his rehab, organising the other captains, sorting the players statement and fixing the NHS.

That was to be shared between the 15.

To be fair they should’ve never been in it.

Unfortunately none that wouldn’t also want to make a huge sum of money off us. The values of billionaires tend not to align with those of the fans and the foundations on which the club was built.

As much damage as this has done, we’re either stuck with them or we’re an investment vehicle for some other super rich bloke looking to get richer. If we’re lucky we might get an oligarch or a gulf nation that just want to wash their image a bit but not really worry too much about profits. Of course you’d have to adjust your moral compass on issues like human rights, women and homosexuality in order to embrace them though.

The remaining four English teams have decided to pull out of the Super League.

BBC Sport understands a formal announcement will be made this evening.

The moves comes at the end of a seismic day, which had already seen Manchester City pull out, with Chelsea due to follow suit.

Good point, I had thought the stake from red bird was covering the finance for Klopp in the summer which was rumoured to be available and then this happened and I thought Ah that was it, but as you say you wouldn’t sell a stake in the club that was about to earn so much, unless of course that was never actually going to the club.

I’ve been trying to think of ways FSG could repair the relationship with the supporters but I just can’t see it mbappening.

To be honest they wouldn’t have lasted long anyhow and that’s even in a exclusive locked off league structure, they would somehow have been knocked out.

I agree, they have done a good job as owners and I’m really disappointed this has happened. I just think it’s a long road back for them now.

I hope that’s the club’s official statement! It rolls off the tongue and is forgotten within minutes
