Nike kits, money for our new CB

Pre-match eh!!! Good one. Ask the lads to run around the opposition in that kit for few minutes and the opposition will be dizzy in no time.

So apparently sales on all 3 kits have been far higher than expected! Where’s the Nike money John???

It’s all going on Mbappé.

What’s that, the current brain of your average United fan?

Damn that’s such an eyesore :grimacing:

I’ve seen that actual episode. Lot of love for Bob Ross in my house.

It’s dated and always seems to be a mountain, with water and a forest scenery of some kind but i find myself mesmerised watching him paint, with how easy he makes it look, great artist, plus he had the best Afro i’ve ever seen on a white guy ever!!! winning combo for me.

Sorry for going off topic but that new training top does nothing for me,it’s waaaaaaay too busy for my liking.

We should have got Bob Ross to design the new kit (if only he were still alive)…back to the topic at hand.

I won’t be buying a kit, all my shoes are Adidas. Plus I really don’t like the collar on the home shirt or the white strip down the side. Should be a solid red with a smaller collar.
Just hope we make the money from the deal we think we will.

All signs are pointing in that direction.

A flash of white on the collar, or the sleeve or the side… it’s not going to be to everybody’s taste but if it’s red and has a Liverbird on it it’s alright by me.

The club has literally MILLIONS of fans. It’s impossible to design a shirt where everybody is going to be happy.

Record sales so it’s obviously liked by enough of our support base to make that happen which will go towards future signings or ground improvements etc.

Regardless of what people think from a financial view point Nike is probably close, if not top of the list of great things put into place by the club

I know the symbols on the training kit are taken from the Shankley Gates but besides the ‘Liverbird’ what do the other three actually mean/represent?

Isn’t it a Scottish thistle and the Scottish flag.

BY the way - the away kit looks lovely under the flood lights

One is definitely a little bloke inside a circle taking a shit,a reference to the bitters.

Yeah just watched the highlights I’m tempted especially as I won the home one.

Regarding the symbols on the training kit and Shankley Gates:

  • The Thistle Flower (Scotland’s National Emblem)

  • The Saltire or Saint Andrew’s Cross
(Both of the above represent Shankley’s birth place)

  • Fleur de Lis or Trident ? (I couldn’t find much about this symbol other than the 1892 Liverpool City coat of arms which featured the ancient Greek god’s Triton and Neptune. Triton held a weapon called a Trident)

Im hoping the kit they wore last night is like the Toxic Orange kit where every time we wore it we scored 4-6 goals!
Definitely looks better on the players.

Seems this is only available in £90 version. The grey and orange have £60 versions.

Finally got Hendo’s name and #, plus PL Champion’s shoulder patches on my kit. I’m a happy camper now. :relaxed:

At the store, I saw 3 other home kits waiting for pick up: Virg, TAA and Robbo. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That doesn’t excuse the bad look.

the black kits are cursed now, but i’m surprised at how roundly despised they are

didn’t like the numerals on the back of the last couple NB shirts with the outline or whatever

the kits the year we lost to madrid were the best in memory, i ordered a shirt for my brother in that design with #8 & ‘KEITA’ on the back because it sort of echoed the deal itself. it came with ‘KIETA’ across the back, had time to get another one before christmas

the next year he got me fowler’s autobiography & a full kit because i’m a wanker, and that shirt came with #9 and ‘Fowler’ across the back. it took too long to show up, haven’t had the heart to tell him about that. i had it displayed, hanging along with some plants from a basketball rim, until i hung another plant from it & the rim fell from the wall at 3 am, nearly killing the dog
