NON Breaking News Stories

Yeah going without a man bag and regular travel in and out of the hemisphere seems to ‘prematurely age’ people :joy:

**In a Swiss laboratory, researchers have developed an innovative bandage that accelerates wound healing by up to four times using electricity, without drugs or scarring. *
*This “Smart Bandage” employs embedded microchannels and bioelectrodes to generate low-level electric fields, mimicking the body’s natural electrical signals that guide cell migration during healing. *
*Unlike traditional dressings, it actively stimulates tissue repair by enhancing keratinocyte movement, reducing bacterial infections, and promoting blood vessel formation, all of which contribute to faster wound closure. *
*In tests, wounds treated with this bandage healed significantly quicker—often in days rather than weeks—compared to conventional methods, with minimal or no scarring. *
*The bandage is lightweight, flexible, and powered by a biocompatible battery activated by a drop of water, making it cost-effective and easy to use at home. It shows promise for chronic wounds, like diabetic ulcers, which are prone to complications. *
While still in development, with plans for human trials, this technology could revolutionize wound care by offering a non-invasive, drug-free solution that leverages the body’s own healing mechanisms, potentially reducing healthcare costs and improving patient outcomes".

Looks like forcing all of your talent to sign NDA’s when leaving is about to come full circle and bite your ass.

Yeah I had to look up what VTubing is

Clear search history!

Is it something lewd? I thought it was just people who use motion capture animation on podcasts.

Vtubing is using caption motion and virtual models to hide your identity whilst streaming and content creating. It is often heavily inspired by anime.

This particular agency is notorious for exploitative contracts ripping off the talent. It turns out their top model was a girl suffering from immune deficiency but they had not paid her properly for 7-8 months whilst also holding onto $500K that was raised for charity.

Within 24hrs of her quitting the company the entire takent roster had followed her out the door. Several want to go public with their stories but it turns out that the company is using massively heavy-handed NDA’s to prevent ex talent from talking about the company. 3 days after the initial story the company has filed for bankruptcy and folded so it looks like the NDA’s are or will quickly become totally useless.

Greg Wallace, John Torode, now Jay Blades. And the litany of other ones (Saville, Edwards)…almost like something institutional at the BBC

Posting this because the man-made famine in Sudan, is something many know about, but it gets almost no media attention since it’s in Sub-Saharan Africa. So people forget that it is going on…
