NON Breaking News Stories

I first heard ‘dinlo’ , also back in the eighties, when working with Romany folk on fruit farms (not aimed at me specifically :joy:)

Can’t be Bolton, the sun’s shining.

I suspect that was faked. There was an incident in Bolton yesterday but the description is nothing like that:

Not at all surprising for those who know something about the background and how intolerant Azeris are.

Car washed away, seems the guy was then taken by a 5 meter Nile crocodile. Talk about a bad day.

Anyway, so they identify this crocodile and then put it down (look, they know what they doing and what they looking for and they were right). Along with the remains they suspect is the missing guy, they found numerous other shoes soooo… chances are… not the only human taken by this animal.

Another anyway, the animal was then secured by a diver who was then hoisted with the animal by helicopter. Massive balls on that guy, that’s for fucking sure. Apologies for the next video as it’s a bit dodge but the news outlets are useless to say the least. Not something you see everyday, that’s for sure:

TIA

Hope other crocs learn from this, and it wont happen again!

They euthaniszed it to verify their suspicions that it had eaten the businessman. Not to scare other crocs. Silly :winking_face_with_tongue:.

thats as maybe… but once that gossip gets around the watering hole that big mac has finally been caught, well, it might give the rest pause…

There is the corpse. There is also the danger of the croc preying more and specifically on humans. The croc had a collection of shoes in his belly after all.

But mostly it is about burial and I think we should respect that, unless the family thinks it’s ok that the remains reside with the crocodile. The Nile croc is also not endangered at all. I remind you all, this is a dinosaur (sure, Archosaurus, but still) that literally survived doomsday as one of the only animals on earth.

Instead of euthanizing the croc, should have let it loose in the WH to drain the swamp.

Yeah crocs are only suitable for handbags, shoes and belts. We have far too many of them in the NT - numbers have gone over 100,000 up from (albeit too low) 1,000 a couple of generations ago and they are going to need to start culling them.

2cm per month? That sounds very quick - a metre in only 4 years?

I’m more excited about David Attenborough’s 100th birthday tomorrow than I’ve ever been about a celebrity birthday before.
In fact, I’ve never been at all interested in a celebrity birthday, but this is special. This is a truly remarkable man who is well worth celebrating.
Meanwhile, in the forests of Borneo…

Have you ever read his autobiography, “Life On Air”?

He really has had a remarkable life. His work as a TV exec is as notable in it’s own right.
