100% for the first allegation which happened years earlier. The second one he was linked with preceded Sarah’s abduction and murder by only a few days.
What alarms me as much is the culture in the police. According to a news report I read yesterday, his nickname in the police was “the rapist” and he was known by colleagues to have an obsession with violent pornography (although I think most of us wouldn’t call it that).

Their suggestions are just making it worse. Most of what they are saying the woman could have done amounts to resisting arrest. What in hell good would waving down a bus do? None of what they saying addresses the fact that if police took enforcing the law on other police officers seriously, he could have been charged twice in the previous week.

Qiuet possible, but being a cop would mean he is going in there with a massive target on his back, so would they not be more likely to put in in solitary confinement?

I do think if I were a woman, I’d insist on a backup officer in a marked car arriving before I’d get in any car. Frankly, going forward this should be announced policy for arresting women.

I’m not certain which I’d prefer for this guy.
option 1 - put him in gen pop in a max security and buy him a soap on a rope as a welcome gift
option 2 - a solitary empty room with a J-hook hanging from the ceiling about 8ft off the ground. give him a bedsheet after a full year.

So if a policeman underpays for some Jaffa cakes they get fired, but if they indecentally expose themselves to members of the public and earn the nickname of ‘the rapist’ they get suspended with full pay and allowed to continue in the role to continue their misuse of power?
