An Indonesian airliner has gone from radar ( Sriwijaya Airlines) and dropped downwards in extremely high velocity. Sri Lanka now says it has probably gone down. It had 62 persons onboard, including the Minister of Transport as well as several children. It flight number SJY 182 flying from Soekarno - Hatta International Airport in Jakarta to the town Pontianak.
Debris have already been found by locals, no word on corpses or survivors being found at current.

I got my info from Norwegian papers, but here is guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jan/09/sriwijaya-aeroplane-loses-contact-after-takeoff-indonesia

There are maybe hundreds of such stories in Libya, Yemen, Syria, Sudan. Most will never be told.

Body parts have already been found. And with the efficiency typical over there, no survivors are expected. The frustrating thing about these countries are how slow they are in “confirming” information. Its really sad, one man has his wife and 3 children on board. In a moment, a whole family is gone.

Perhaps we have discovered how the @Kopstar fortune came to be made…

I didn’t know that women flew in combat missions. Respect.

ATA is Air Transport Auxiliary
They mainly flew/delivered new aircraft from the factory but did a lot of other non combat work.
They didn’t fight but did a very important role.
