Norwich vs. Liverpool: Kangaroo Cup, 19:45 Tue 21st September 2021

I mean, I accept that this cup is the least important of the trophies available, but there is not a single player in this squad that should not fear for their place if their ambition is to become a stable first team player, either again or for the first time. So there is much “in it” for our players involved here. Or should be anyway.

On those grounds, I am disappointed overall with Oxlaide and Keita and a few others. This isn’t really good enough to break ground and get into our first team for anyone involved so far (except maybe Tsimikas).

Kelleher, Gomez and Jones are playing well and look ready for 1st team duties.
Kieta dissappointing, AOC extremely dissappointing.
The rest are going through the motions or too young to bracket.
If Kieta and especially AOC could offer something it would be interesting to see what the front 3 could offer!

Unfortunately he has the best left back in the world in front of him!

Boys doing the job of three men all over the pitch.

It was a pen, but the Norwich player was going down then no matter what the contact.

Personal pet peeve is players congratulating each other after buying a pen.

General play has not been wonderful, Konate and Kelleher having good games though.

Joey G looks well. Playing well

Tsimikas is the stand out for me. Kelleher I forgot, he should of course be lauded for his performance so far, but we all would prefer Allison at current if we were to choose. But Tsimikas is close to the first team now.

But yeah, Keita and Oxlaide, sigh.

Brentford beating Oldham 5-0 at half-time…
They may as well score tonight because they won’t be scoring on Saturday.! :0)

Weird match. Lighting start and after that eased Norwich into the match - looked a bit half arsed from our established squad players .
Don’t rest on that worldy Naby!
Ox disappearing in a cloud of rust flakes every time he drives with the ball. Hope he get’s his shit together soon.
Origi’s happy-go-lucky stroll usualy leads to him scoring in the 2nd … no argument here. Looks contend with his squad role.
Nice showing from the youngsters , except Bradley’s panic fart for the pen. Graceously wasted by Norwich.
Konate struggling to find his balance at times.
Taki , Joe and Curtis polishing their 1st team applications.

Fun game.

With Keita’s injury record, why even risk playing him in this match?

How did Origi and Takumi do???

Might be a fun result come end of the game that ! If they continue to attack in the second half.

Morton on for Keita.

Keita is always poor in league cup games/mixed teams. Far better when playing at a higher level.

Chamberlain is just poor in everything unfortnately, a shocker so far from him. Hope he gets a goal and a bit of confidence.

Keita off for safety I guess? For the week end?

Sub the whole back line, super sweeper keeper Kelleher has it covered.
