Not surprised with us at the bottom, to be honest. But it’s mildly amusing that United aren’t a runaway leader. Surely that +3 doesn’t reflect their performance on the pitch???
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been charged by the FA for daring to criticise a shite referee as “not good enough”,his comments were “personally offensive” to Lee Mason.
Not VAR but fucking hell what a load of bollocks.
Well what about Lee Mason being personally offensive to the beautiful game we all love???
To be honest it was going happen but Nuno just said what we all think.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are plenty more that haven’t been included in that video.
The good thing is it’s being highlighted now and more and more of our fans who were initially sceptical are realising something stinks.
Great video, EVERYBODY can see this VAR-shit do more fuck up than good for the game.
IMO
I don’t subscribe to conspiracy theories but this season it is obvious that a higher bar is in place when reviewing decisions for us as opposed to those that might go against. That’s what JK was getting at with his after match comments and I agree with him. I think we have had 12 subjective VAR decisions go against us? We didn’t deserve anything out of the Southampton game but the handball shout and particularly the Mane penalty claim were about as clear and obvious as you can get. Couldn’t believe neither was given.
I know when I saw the handball I said to myself I don’t agree but in the rules that’s a penalty and then they didn’t give it.
To me the Everton game is still the most infuriating followed by the Brighton game. I can accept fouls not being blown up in build ups, they weren’t given before VAR.
This may have been mentioned elsewhere on the forum. I don’t have much time at the moment to keep up with all the threads, but there were some interesting stats posted on This is Anfield yesterday. Only Sheffield United have received fewer free kicks than us this season. We average just 8 a game. Mo Salah has only been fouled 11 times in 16 games! The guy spends most of the time with a defender hanging round his neck. This just confirms what I’ve been thinking. There’s a higher bar for us as a team and individual players like Mo when it comes to getting a refereeing decision in our favour this season.
Thing is I don’t even blame clubs for doing it if they get away with it, that chokehold on Salah in the Soton game was a joke and baldy gave a throw.
I think that is half the shock from the other club when it is given in our favour.
Referee Michael Oliver has admitted Everton goalkeeper should have been sent off for his challenge on Virgil van Dijk.
A bit late in the day, from nomark oliver.
As for
“It was a big game, both teams were flying in,” Oliver explained.
“both teams”? He must have been watching a different game, because I only recall the blueshite flying in.
I genuinely don’t think Pickford has done anything apart from try to spread himself but he did it in the wrong way, as the injury shows.
If oliver can’t see why pickford’s two footed, off the ground “scissor tackle” was wrong, he isn’t fit to referee in the Sunday leagues.
We could still have given offside and sent Pickford off. What I was surprised about looking at it afterwards was that nothing was expected on-field in terms of a red card. None of the players were asking for that.
So if players don’t protest and ask for a red card you don’t get one. Thanks, we’ll bear that in mind.
And, as I’ve just read a poster on another site say, despite all the officials involved that day being exposed as ‘incompetent’, despite every fucking decision in that game going against us, despite the massive detrimental effect it’s had on our season in terms of points dropped and player unavailability, they’ve continued to shaft us in virtually every game we’ve played since. And for what? Exposing Coote for the fucking cheat he is?
We should have been shouting it from the rooftops every time we’ve been done over, but as always we say fuck all so it continues unabated.
We need to do it on the pitch, pointless saying it afterwards they just generally shaft us more.

How can Oliver even say that…
If you ask for a player to be booked… You leave yourself open to be booked yourself…!!!
You can’t expect the refs to know the rules unless they get paid for it.
I think you’ve seen Klopp question stuff, more so recently and other than that i don’t see what else the club can do. Klopp’s also in the ear of the 4th official a fair bit.
Players, Henderson in particular needs to question the ref more I guess but otherwise I’m stumped a bit to be honest.
More shouting, screaming and moaning from the fans just becomes an easy target for other fans and doesn’t really question the FA / PL at all.
What I think no-mark oliver is alluding to, is that he wants to see more of this:
Oh dear, Michael Oliver… making a joke out of himself again…
Honestly, how can they (PL refs) ever to be expected to be taken seriously with that kind of comments? But then, I guess the only way going forward now is to intimidate them into submission, on the pitch, whenever they take a decision against us. The red mancs seem to have understood that quite well, and it works for them to perfection, week after week.
I fully expect to see at least two or three key decision going against us next Sunday. It’s just how this season is going I’m afraid… our lads will need to be on fire to overcome the opposition, a hostile ref, plus fucking VAR…
By the way, who will shaft us this time? Anyone knows?
