I think they got it right with Reigns.
Whilst I don’t particularly care about the record, I think the overall storyline of The Bloodline has a lot more potetial with The Uso’s losing the tag team belts and Reigns holding onto the Universal Belt for the time being. Then having The Beast turn on Cody before their tag team match the next night pushes an added dimention to Rhodes story before he goes against Reigns again at a later date.
My first time watching wrestling at the age of 8 and it scared the shit out of me.
Problem is the belts really.
He doesn’t need both and a Jey screw job would help. MITB can’t be wasted this time out so potentially it will be the way to take one away from him. After all it’s the Universal that he has held for over 900 days.
WM wasn’t brilliant after the last 4-5 PPVs really hit the mark.
Women’s Hockey eh… Might need to take an interest in this :0)
Happened to leave BT sports on after the CL game.
Wrestling been on, and despite my younger days of believing that Mick McManus, Jackie Pallo, Big Daddy and Andy Robbins were all doing it for real, I cant believe actual grown up adults sit and watch this absolute farcical nonsense.
Most of the audience look like they live in someone’s basement.

Ronda Rousey out there looking like Rimmer.
80.000 children at the O2 Arena tonight.
All with mullets, moustaches, 42" waists and baseball caps worn back to front.

Not from what I was seeing to be honest.

Yes, but some people have to remind everybody as often as possible that they are much too sophisticated and grown up for wrestling.
Closet marks.
I wonder if there’s anything in the Mania in London teasers.

As someone on Twitter who generally covers this stuff said. You don’t get Cena coming out and saying that if there are no concrete plans.
How it happens in early April is another matter. Potentially do Wembley late April with the weather.
Surely a year away at least? Usually have those events locked in well ahead of time.
I mean it’s genuinely a bit baffling they haven’t done a big event over here since the Bulldog Bret Hart Summerslam, but not surprising it comes off the back of AEW selling 60,000 tickets in a heartbeat for an upcoming event.
2025, I would think. 2024 is already booked in Philly.
I’m not sure how many people even follow these games and I find the whole CG thing pretty irrelevant these days, but it seems a pretty bad look to withdraw like this. I just wonder what effect this will have on Melbourne’s chances of bidding for bigger events like the Olympics in the future. Surely there is some trust lost by acting like this, even if OG and CG are disparate bodies.
I think its a ballsy move, and completely agree with any government choosing to fund problems within its own society over a stupid, pointless sport event though.

I enjoy the Com Games as they tend to attract less of the twats that are attracted to the OG - those that are merely there because it is a big event that draws media attention.
My concern with this news is that this is now the 2nd time a host city has had to be changed due to financial issues after Birmingham stepped up when the original host ran into money problems. And there have been a few that barely managed to get things completed in time for the start. So it begs the question as to if the CG’s are still viable? I personally think they a great competition that is a good link between the regular comps like the diamond league and the OG, but it seems like builders and contractors are seeing these events as a chance to take the piss and fleece host cities by upping the costs post contracts being signed, how do you fix and prevent this, as if the hosts refuse to budge of any increase it can lead to the failure to build the infrastructor or lead to running businesses into insolvency which is not what anyone wants.
Look at the 2022 CG. Only two bidders, and one withdrew. The remaining bidder then couldn’t get it over the line. I think that answers the question.

Yep great to see Dan prioritising what is more important.
Who cares. If a city like Melbourne (for instance) doesn’t have ‘enough trust’ to host an olympics etc in the future then their lucky denizens can save their money for important stuff and avoid all the hassle and BS of having the circus visiting. They are always welcome to host all the events in some Sand desert somewhere where no one gives a shit.
Lets hope it leads to the death of overgrown Cth Games circus in its current form and perhaps even marks the start of the Olympics and the World Cup being swerved by cities and countries who realise the expense and ridiculous requirements by dictatorial sporting bodies are obscene and they should be put back in their box.
