More like (for me at least, for the next 6 months);

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho; Elliott, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Mane.

Backed up by;

Kelleher; Milner, Matip, Gomez, Tsimikas; Henderson; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones; Gordon, Firmino, Diaz.

Additional options; Adrian, Bradley, Williams, Beck, Morton, Keita, Minamino, Origi.

Strength in depth and proper options and competition for places whilst still in 4 competitions. Main contentious choices being Matip/Gomez/Konate as main partner for VvD, Iā€™ve gone for the one with the biggest long term gain. Milner/Bradley/Gomez (with Williams as CB) in back up 11, just think wonā€™t come up that often and Milner may play it slightly more than the other 2. Oxlade-Chamberlain or Keita in the second 11 but if Henderson is the cover for Fabinho then itā€™s the RCM needed as I see Jones as really starting to establish himself as LCM option. Finally is Gordon ready to be the second choice at RW? Probably not but really donā€™t like Origi or Minamino used there.

Not sure weā€™d get anyone much better than Adrian as third choice.

Gomez is not the equivalent of Phillips or Williams.

Henderson is the new Milner. We will need another midfielder who can play 6/8.

There should be some money from sales and reduction in wages.

Nat will be sold. Rhys is nowhere near becoming the fourth-choice. If Gomez leaves, I expect Sepp van den Berg to be drafted in.

I think the Milner (and Ox) mins will be spread over Jones, Elliott, and Carvalho.

Yeah; the ā€œfirst elevenā€ pretty much picks itself at the moment.

The only questions concern Joel vs Ibou alongside Virg, and whether or not KeĆÆta or one of the youngsters can phase out Henderson this season.

Iā€™m really interested to see if Gordon stays injury free, he gets name checked all the time by the seniors so is clearly some talent. Could be a useful option this coming season.

We have lost 3 forwards and added 1, and Iā€™m not sure how much Harvey and Fabio will play as out and out forwards, but thereā€™s a nice mix of old and young, and a lot of quality in there.

I would still want another midfielder if only for the fact that we would be needing to do a significant rehaul later down the line (regardless of whether we bring in a big ticket signing like Bellingham). Also the 5 sub rule ensures that adequate game time can be provided.
