Not sure if that was a definite warning shot across the bows for Salah today being taken-off, or he wasn’t doing enough defensively, or whatever other reason… but maybe Jurgen is beginning to believe there might be a better forward-line combination with the guys we have, if if if, Salah is taken out of the equation… Who knows eh…

I think the back five is nailed on, mostly due to the lack of reasonable alternatives. In midfield, Curtis, Alexis, Dominik, and Wataru will fight for the three spots while Thiago, Bajcetic, and Elliott will be good cover. Upfront, Salah, Gakpo, and Diaz will be the preferred combination, while Nunez and Jota are great alternatives to have for substitution and rotation.

Guess with the signing of Gravenbach, Szaboszlai can also move to the right with his pace. May be next season if Salah leaves he might fit in there.
