Hopefully, this means that you can play one of the major chaos factions with Daemons, Kislev and at the end of the video the hint that Cathay is a missing part of the map to be added.
That trailer is pretty epic.

havent properly played a TW game in ages - partly because it’s lost something that was present in the earlier games and partly because I don’t have a set up good enough to enjoy the things they’ve improved upon. Troy was ok, but I got kinda bored real quick with it. Want to get into the Warhammer ones but haven’t been able to.
Thanks to wfh at the moment I’ve started EU4. It is sucking away time I don’t have to spare Getting late into my England/GB save so will be doing a new one soon. Any hints/suggestions for fun countries more than welcome
EU4 and Crusader Kings are titles I would like to play, but perhaps I am becoming less patient as I get older but they just seem to have too many buttons/options to follow for me to sink any time into it (I only get to play the odd 2-3 hour spell here and there).
I miss the old fashioned strategy/management games that used to be much more common about 20-30 years ago (Can’t remember the specific titles I’m thinking of but probably like the Patrician/Anno series but a little less complicated)
Crusader Kings 3 is good fun. It looks daunting, but if you play the tutorial you’ll pick up most of the mechanics pretty quickly. The rest you pick up as you go along. It’s a story generator as much as a strategy game, and it can be pretty humorous in places.
I enjoyed being king of Iceland and introducing my own new religion based on nudity, getting pissed up and generally being a shitbag… right up until the point the Pope launched a holy crusade on me and squashed me like a bug
Also, it’s on Game Pass for PC, so if you have that you can play it without having to buy it.
I finally did it. spent a bit of money and bought a new GTX1060 6gb for a steal ($190 CAD).
now I get to try some games made in the last 5 years
Not tried CK but I get what you mean. Once I stop working from home I doubt I’ll play it as much and will have to find a gentler game to scratch the itch
The Anno games were good. I enjoyed Empire Earth and AoE as well. Might start playing AoE again once i’m finished with my EU4 save. Just a had burst of nostalgia about monks going “wooloo” at a trebuchet to make it change sides
hahaha shit I just got to that performance level. I barely play anymore, though.
FX6300 hex @ 4.4ghz, 16gb, EVGA 1060 6gb SC
I have CK2. Do you know how similar it is to the third one?
Decided to live dangerously. Total War Warhammer 3 Pre-ordered. Specs haven’t been announced so it’s going to be exciting to see whether my laptop can actually run this badboy
Not planning to buy any other games this year.
As someone who bounced pretty hard of CK2 I found it more approachable for newbies.
Epic is giving away “Metro: Last Light Redux” today and the next 6 days (previously listed as giveaway by GOG in Devc-2020).
Epic is also giving away “For the King”.
Awesome. I already have For the King.
Hadn’t realised the Metro Last Light Redux was also free this week so have just picked that up today. I also have the first Metro redux game free on there too.
Lol, saw this one coming a mile off, only surprise is it’s taken them this long - EA cancels all future development on the omnishambles that is Anthem:
It is really tragic. The original plan for Anthem looked amazing, then they decided to change the game and try to build it on an engine that probably wasn’t suitable. Even then the early playable pre-release version (Alpha?) that came out while buggy was fun and looked cool. Unfortunately, the final release was just really buggy and devoid of a lot of content that it should have had, and like No Man’s Sky the promises that were made didnt live up to the initial hype. Unlike No Mans Sky little was successfully done to fix it. Until just now I had completely forgotten about the ‘fix’ they did introduce which promptly ‘broke’ either the xbox or PS4 the game ran on.
Was so frazzled at work last week, I did what I knew I shouldn’t. Downloaded Elite Dangerous. See you all sometime in 2023.
Draex, you tried beating WH2 ME on legendary?
I’ve won it as Chaos on the SFO mod which changes the entire game dynamic and allows Chaos to have 5 bases on the map which made it a little more accessible a few years back.
Won with Ikit also. He’s probably my favorite legendary lord, but Sigvald was fun.
Tried legendary as the dwarves and they’re just brutal to play. Greenskins take you out no matter what you try, got 90 turns in, greenskins got taken out, vamps got me instead. Tried to win 20 plus times and gave up for now! Legendary is just hard - but you get the AI doing stuff just radically differently. Playing ironman mode one mistake and its game over.
Really looking forward to 3.
